What cap increases? The 2012 salary cap is just $0.6 million higher than last year, is lower than it was three years ago and is expected to be fairly static over the next few seasons.
Every generation says that about their childhood.
I could say the same thing about people who missed out on Tex Avery and Chuck Jones or Mighty Mouse and Speed Racer. Each generation also holds the same bias towards the next:"I can't believe the shit on tv", "The stuff I grew up with was better than the junk kids today watch". It's one of the reasons I'm actually thankful my first gaming experience was an Atari 2600. I feel it helped me understand and appreciate how far things move when you can compare it to something as primitive as the 2600.
I'm sure that the people who watch MLP or shows similar will say the same things about content in 10 years.

The trailers look great but I highly doubt it will live up to the DK. I am just going in hoping for a good movie and a good conclusion. It is sad to think that this might be the last Batman movie that I ever care about.
Yup. Basketball players effect the game more than any NFL player simply because there are less of them on the court and on the squad.
QBs wouldn't be shit though without the rest of the squad though. The a good QB can cover up bad offensive players but a great line can't help bad or mediocre qbs. Look at the Bills last year. Their offensive line was the best in football but that couldn't mask an ok qb.

Except in this case I am right. The 80s was fucking awesome! Toys, movies, videogames (the leap from Atari to SMB was my first holy shit moment in videogames), etc. The only things that were objectively worse in the 80s were fashion (girls are simply better looking today) and football (man the 80s sucked ass for AFC fans).
I love the internet but it ruined childhood.

Pretty much this. For as much as we tend to fictionalize a horrid future things have always been improving. That does not mean the past was bad rather that things are always improving. I think I can say to some extent that you should be able to time travel into the future and regardless of your race/creed/beliefs/or sexuality its almost always better than traveling back in time.

Don't hold your breath guy was a bum in Dallas. I'm a huge A&M fan so I was really excited when Dallas got him but he's been a huge disappointment. He shows flashes but thats about it guy never showed any drive always seemed lazy.

I couldnt disagree with you more. I liked Begins, but the DK is great. TDK is right up there with Memento and the Prestige as my favorite movies of all time.
Your taste in directors is impressively varied.
I also think BB is superior. TDK has several sequences that are only enjoyable the first time around. Should've been streamlined a lot more.
But I also just love origin stories.

What I've noticed is people stay interested if there's cash involved. Here's a league proposal:
$50 entry, 10/12 teams.
350/450 winner
100 2nd
50 3rd
I'll give $50 for a pot. This pot will be for a random drawing at the end of the regular season. The teams with the best record over the last 4 weeks of the season will have a better chance of winning the pot (reverse of the nba lottery). This should keep bad teams still interested in the last weeks. If anyone else wants to pitch in extra to this pot it'd be cool.
I actually thought this even before I became a parent.
You obviously need to have sex or masturbate on a regular basis or you are going to go crazy. But I think it is just healthier in general to have sex (with a STD free person and with protection so she doesn't get pregnant) and I don't think too much porn is healthy and definitely not for younger people.
This is obviously going to be my most unpopular opinion ever on GAF...

I'm happy they got it done. What else do the Saints have really? Some good Olinemen and a few decent receivers but Brees holds it all together. The team is literally nothing without him in there. He has consistently performed well above expectations and puts up huge numbers. Im just happy we can move on to the season now. About fucking time.

speaking as a former linemen its because they are in the trenches doing the dirty work and get no glory. Only time anyone talks about linemen is when one gets beat for a sack. I loved playing on the line its just a head to head battle all game. Tossing a dlinemen on the ground was always satisfying.
What other type of player could get away with such a thing?
