NFL Off-Season |OT3| Josh Freeman is fat and eats too much food. Fat. Fatty. Fatfat.

may as well call america surburbia. fucking hate all this bs box development era we live in /rant

I kinda love it when people here post pics of their cars/driveway. It's like everyone lives in the same street.

Then again, over here far fewer people own their home.

I like the ideas of New Urbanism though. The problem is that regulations concerning parking spaces and building safety necessitates the suburban design planning. You cant make a European looking neighborhood design because it is actually illegal.

I'm really not sure how those planned communities are allowed to exist, but they are the best option we have at this point to getting back to more urban city designs. Kind of a band aid on a gaping wound, but it seems to work alright. It also presents problems when planning stadiums obviously, with parking and commuting to suburban stadiums being the nightmare reality. New Orleans is a great place to hold an event for example because the Superdome is located right in the middle of city. Miami is a bad place because its in the middle of the suburbs and people have to drive all over the fucking place to get to anything.

Called DirecTV to bitch about the Viacom thing. Got $5 back per month for a couple of months.

And in the process they upgraded my Sunday Ticket to Sunday Ticket Max, which includes Red Zone and some mobile app stuff that lets you track players/stats/etc. For free.

I love America.

you said it bruh

I don't remember originating that but you're probably right.
Louisiana does have pretty unique culture though. I'm not just talking about in NOLA.
The whole state is bizarreville. I like it though.
I was especially reminded of this fact when vacationing in Maryland, where everything is sterile and pretty. Coming back to Louisiana seems like entering another country.

Did you head out west to Lafayette? Its a much cleaner city overall but of course smaller. Has its own flavor. We have a really awesome world music festival every year downtown that draws a lot of people. The food is fucking fantastic. the city was laid out by drunk French people so navigating is a bit difficult. Its worth visiting though.

I did that for my Dad. I mooch off his ST and stream the Rams games at my place. Making that a separate $100 fee was crap. Called and got the Max upgrade and an extension on the free HBO promotion he was on for a few more months. Not like it's much of a deal. He pays them $120/month for like 2 years

They know that if you care enough to bitch, you will continue to care enough to bitch, until they cease to give you a reason to bitch anymore. bitching works.

not really. i was a fucking idiot and didn't get a rental car so we were taking taxi's everywhere and it got expensive as fuck. we were staying close to the french quarter.

i loved the food but the funniest thing is i had the best vietnamese food of my life there. i couldn't tell you the places name, we just kind of stopped in (it was by the zoo, wherever that is). i haven't found a place nearly as good anywhere since :(

Getting that max upgrade is like $.40/month over the life of his contract. He's a whale as far as subscribers go. Gets all the premiums. It's basically like getting crackers on an airplane

80s baby checking in.

Obviously things are better now then "back in the day" but I think the life experience was so much better back then. I am bitter as hell to the kids nowadays who can just google whatever naked chick they want.

Back in my day one of the kids would steal his dad's playboy and bring it around before school to show everyone.

I remember the days of sneaking porno mags in and out of the house and trying to find good hiding places. Or trying to rent a video at the local shop without being busted by somebody that knows you. There's no more adventure in acquiring porn these days.

Louisiana is pretty great for the culture. If people come to look for civilization, there are a million suburbs and cities that do it better. Its about the food, nightlife, music, and getting drunk. I guess all of those things are connected. Also, you can have a drive-thru daiquiri if you want.

I seem to remember a time before the millenium when I could make do without any explicit porn. I still have a soft spot for lingerie advertising.

Is there any time in the year where it isn't sticky hot? I haaaaaate humid heat. German weather refuses to give us anything resembling summer so far, and I love it so much.

lol whats his monthly bill?

Best I can remember it's $120. Not sure if that's just the service or taxes and fees included. But DirecTV is awesome. The first year he was paying like $70 b/c of all the promotions they throw at you. And PQ is amazing.

I can't get satellite and am stuck with UVerse, which is garbage. Cheap, though

Another good thing about Louisiana is it isnt full of rusted cars because they dont have to salt the roads. The news has to explain what snow is when it happens.

No its full of cars that are just falling apart because your highway maintenance is non existant. I-10 through Louisiana is horrible!

This is also very true.
I10 is the most hilariously awful interstate I've ever been on.
One of the worst problems is all the overloaded trucks and the lack of a good foundation. Its basically built on an alluvial plain so the road is constantly sinking and buckling. Louisiana infrastructure is generally expensive to maintain because there isnt really any bedrock to build on.

At least you guys have some room to live. This country is so full, you can't even turn around here without almost sexually assaulting somebody.

Louisana is a nice place :D The most French states of the US ( so the coolest) :p

If you go by an ancestral logic, North Dakota and Wisconsin would be the "coolest" states. And that doesn't make sense even to me.

Also, today I learned Germans make up the largest ancestral group in the US, with about 17% of the population being German Americans.

Since your country is full of cute blonde chicks, that doesn't seem to bad.

Louisiana sucks

I've been to a lot of states and while they do a lot of city stuff better, this is by far my favorite state in terms of food and culture. Its as though that other shit doesnt matter to people here, as long as the music is playing and the beer is flowing. Louisiana don't give a fuck.

I think he's from the Netherlands going by his name.
Louisiana actually modelled its levee system on the dutch model.
Except we are fucking broke so we use newspapers and sand and halfass build them.

Here Frenchie : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_people . I'M NOT A GERMAN!

Ah yes, if there is one thing the Dutchies can do, it's live with water. They expanded the country by like 5% by drying up a part of the ocean, they build the Palm islands in Dubai and they live like 20 feet below water level and still manage.

And yes I have seen a Spyker, but that was at a car show, never drove in one
