Fallen Enchantress is by far the best overall strategy game on the market right now.

Gal Civ 3 is rad as fuck too but its oonly on early access right now.

Fallen Enchantress is pretty awesome. Makes me think of Might and Magic Heroes meets Civilization.

You would like Gal Civ 3 since it's priced to keep the poors out.

Age of Empires III is where it's at

....said no one ever.

I'll check out FE, but it looks like my PC won't be able to handle that either.

Come on greg, AoE2 HD > 3.
never played that one

my brothers and I used to put the AI on a separate island on the craziest difficulty and see how long we could last

You deaf?

Age of Empires 3 is garbage.

Rise of Nations was the king of that genre any way and that was like 10 years ago.

Yeah I said it.

I had Popeye's so I'm feeling ornery
Rise is awesome, I agree

that doesn't make AoE III shit

My pc can't handle it. Pathetic, I know.

Nah, it's all good. I remember you now saying your PC was 8 years old.

Well Civ V would've been my primary suggestion =(, I guess Civ 4 makes perfect sense too if you're able to stick with it.

I guess a turn based strategy game makes the most sense here. Maybe something older like Heroes of Might and Magic 3? I never really played it, but I know it gets lots of love. Maybe a King's Bounty game since they're similar.

Two things about the Cowboys:

1. They own that gigantic stadium
2. Apparently they are the only team with their own merchandising contracts. Everyone else has to share the profits. I imagine that's worth a bunch.

Even playable on an 8 yeard old PC which was 'medium range' at best when it came out?

I'll forgive you because of the whole Socom stuff. But you need to check it out.
I'm not a huge RTS fan in general, I just had some great experiences with that game

I get so scattered with RTS games... I'm capable of multitasking, and I have the reactions for it, but I have a tendency to focus really hard on one thing

My biggest issue with Civ 5 is that it's ridiculously slow with 7 CPU players in the mid to late game even with my i5 2500k. I know that's an "outdated" CPU now but they aren't making the speed jumps that they used to make. Most of the time spent "playing" Civ 5 is watching those turns finally process.

A fair assessment, and yeah, I can agree, it's why I generally stick to smaller games.

It's mainly the historical aspect of the Civ games that appeals to me, to be fair.

Ah alright. It just seems logic to me, if you enjoy 3, you would definitely have fun with 2HD, especially now that's it on Steam and has got some people playing it.
