Heh, had myself hyped up to play it right now. Oh well, gives me a chance to beat Uncharted. Uncharted is great, but it feels dated in so many aspect. including gameplay. I've kind of wanted to jump straight to Uncharted 2 but mine as well finish it since I'm this far.

About to go pick up Ni No Kuni today. I've heard very mixed impressions. NFLGAFs opinion on it? I'm itching for a cheap RPG to play. Other than Valkria Chronicles any other suggestions?

I love Ni No Kuni, I will never understand the hate it gets. The combat mechanics could use a little tweaking in some areas but otherwise I thought it was an incredibly well made RPG that any fan of classic JRPG's should appreciate.

Are you looking for PS3 suggestions? Not a whole lot going on there in terms of RPG's these days, but you could try Dark Souls II if you're up for a challenge.

Do you like Tales games? You can get Xilia for pretty cheap now!! Also Dragon's Dogma is really cheap, however it's not for everyone so maybe watch a few videos on Youtube first

We could sit here and argue about how awful the Falcons are now but we both know you'll bail out in the third quarter.

I have to wonder how much would be offset if all that Packer merchandise actually went to the team instead of sharing it with Vikings fans or whatever.

Houston may be able to get revenue from Reliant but let's not pretend like the size of your fanbase could sniff the jockstrap of Packer Nation in size and spending.

I never even alluded to that. But the majority of revenue is created by stadium deals in this day and age period. Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Cincy, Jacksonville would all be basically drafted players only they just don't have the revenue streams to be self sufficient with the likes of Dallas, NY, Houston, Denver, Miami and the two teams that would quickly run to LA. These teams would raise the salaries of free agents to astronomical levels pricing out the smaller markets. Look at MLB for an example of this and a lesser extent the NBA

Does every NFL team own their stadium 100%? I know Jerry World is owned by the Cowgirls. New York would have to split revenue. I honestly haven't dug into the whole stadium revenue thing. It's crazy that the taxpayers wouldn't get a cut for the stadiums paid with tax dollars and for the team to get 100%. Again, Dallas would be the Yankees which could potentially be hilarious if they had someone like Romo making $50 million a year. St Louis, of all places, has had the most successful baseball team in recent years and that's not even close to being a large market.

You can't really talk about politics and have a job in the NFL though. This ain't the NBA. Subjects that you can talk about are love of country, family, turducken, and of course anything invoking the sport (not including spygate, bounties, PEDs or concussions).

How are the brethren and heathens holding up in here? Work, multiple birthdays, a bachelor party and wedding have kept me busy so haven't posted here in a while. Did any of you guys like the Destiny Beta? I only played on Sunday but will get in some more time when it comes back online. In the least, it's fun to play co-op like virtually everything else and it's pretty. I imagine the loot system in the full version will make the game more satisfying over all.

Training Camps firing up! Woooo! Go Cards!

I don't know which team actually owns their stadium but in Houston the city and county "own" the stadium but the Texans get like 100% of all concession sales for any event held at NRG and a cut of everything else. Texans have a great PR department that is aiming at the growing Hispanic market in Texas and the south in general.

Doesn't even come close to Jerruh in Dallas though.

This place has gone to the dogs without football.

Coldplay kept posting pictures of ugly girls. Gata was doing his best to infect us with his stupidity. Soccer took over and eznark lost it during the world cup. He has punished us with nerd porn (the bad kind) ever since.

A lot of NFL GAF had MarioKart fever for awhile. I think they are transitioning to Destiny now.

I can't wait for football. The first month is the best when we all believe that our teams might not suck. It is misery and depression for the rest of the season for the fans of a good 20 teams, but that beginning is the best. And we will be so busy laughing at the Lions and shitting on our coaches for being stupid that no one will post any of the horrible stuff.

Luckily the dolphins start off 0-2/0-3 almost every year so I don't get those hopes up at all.

I picked a good time to be busy then haha Destiny Beta is just until Sunday and in maintenance until tomorrow so there will be a new topic soon as the game doesn't hit until September. How was the NFL GAF reception of the Beta?

So true, we are all Super Bowl champions at this point and dreams have not yet been shattered. I'm sure Manziel will give us plenty to talk/laugh about along with the usual suspects. I'm anxious for this season, the offense should take us forward this year but I'm also nervous about the loss of both of our starting ILBs one of which is a beast. I think that position is a little easier to scheme around so hopefully Bowles is up to it. Our secondary was really enhanced so I think we'll still be pretty dominant on that side of the ball. We shall see! I'm actually about to go on vacation for half of August so by the time I get back, we'll be into pre-season so the wait won't be so unbearable any longer :)

Nice, I am. That's actually what I'm playing on for the beta too so perhaps I'll get to play with some of you when it's back up. It's too bad firefight teams are just 3 though. I had just enough time to knock out the story missions so next time I plan on doing the strike mission which I'm assuming is the same as the Alpha's. I figure after I max out my Warlock and do the full run, I'll start over again with a Hunter to try it out before the Beta ends and see which I like better. Which class are you guys digging?
