Was there like a Rutgers dynasty I missed? I mean they were in the Big East when Connecticut won the conference, if I remember correctly
Connecticut backdoored into that championship when every good team in the Big East had a really bad year(WVU/Lousiville/Cincinatti); Rutgers also had a bad year also.
Modern Rutgers 2010-2012 was just hamstrung by a really really bad unit causing the rest of the team to suffer (the offensive line). And unlike the NFL, those units can't be fixed in a year.

Man, just looked up the sales numbers for Max Payne 3. It sold a whopping 1.26 million copies.
That's fucking terrible for a game of that stature. Why were the sales that bad? Wasn't be press somewhat positive as well?

edit: MP3 had negative initial buzz b/c of the "bald fat Max" and that it wasn't in NYC. And it has some pretty big flaws. It is the Housers at their most pretentious, with all the garbage dialog and cutscenes. They they think they are videogame Kubricks, when their greatest skill has always been self-promotion

As a huge Remedy fan, I'd like to see them take another stab at it. Alan Wake is so awesome. No one makes games that are quite like Remedy games.
As for Xbone, crossbone can be used in many ways.

Although I played Alan Wake and PGR4 today.

Lag is an issue for multiplayer games, but if you offload small pieces of whatever large computation needs to happen redundantly, then it should happen fairly quickly and be self-healing if a node lags/dies etc.
Every game has dedicated servers on XBL going forward.

Now I would take an eggplants advice over bionics but he is right about the 3DS,its great.
I could see the cloud helping for MP games only. I know that 64 MP in Battlefield 3 crushes even the beefiest CPUs. Maybe some of the game state calculations can be done on those servers? I honestly have no idea, other than I can't imagine how the cloud would do anything beyond game saves for SP

Yeah no one knows how it could be utilized quite yet. Or if it even will. I hope they do utilize it to make games better however it's done.
I'll buy it until they prove otherwise. Fits in with their 300k server number.
I'm going to buy both, so why not hope for the best experience out of all of them?

MS already uses dedicated servers for the Gears of war games and you can easily tell the difference.
I wasn't aware of this.
For some reason I thought you could set aside an original Xbox as a dedicated server on certain games. I swear I remember a friend doing this for Ghost Recon Island Thunder. Maybe I'm wrong.

A few Ubisoft games did that. In R6V you could make your 360 a dedicated server that other people could play on. Gears 3 and Judgement have MS hosted dedicated servers for people to play on, and those games run great online.
I thought so. It's so hard to find info on some of these old games though. I would be happy if they integrated that feature into games going forward. With actual dedicated servers though, it would be largely moot, although you would have an advantage being on a local network with the server.
