But now they have JFF and they'll have both the #1 and the #2 pick in next years draft.

One of those picks will no doubt be a WR. Will he be better than Watkins? Farmer really, really fucked up. Said it during the draft so it's not hindsight. Spin from Browns is that Pettine said they needed a CB more than a WR, but Pettine isn't fit to evaluate offensive talent so I have no idea why they would listen to him about the draft

Jonathan Jones ‏@jjones9 2h
Derek Anderson not at practice. He's at the hospital and Panthers wishing the family well. Unsure if he will travel with team to Pittsburgh

One step closer to the Joe Webb Experience.

Pittsburgh, get yo popcorn ready

So this Gordon suspension is just for the failed drug test right? The league could still go forward with punishment for the DUI later if they want?

Correct, although I have to imagine getting the DUI in the middle of his attempt to convince the league he was wrongly charged likely killed any chances his appeal had.

The Browns are dumb in that they seemingly didn't prepare any contingencies for Gordon's suspension being upheld. They knew about it going in to the draft, didn't take any receivers, then let Gordon get practice and preseason reps instead of giving those to players that were for sure going to play.

Also, looks like Gordon isn't allowed around the team facilities for the duration of his suspension. That's fucking dumb.

People in BrownsTown are already talking about drafting a quarterback next year. Everyone's hopes are in the shitter about the entire team and we haven't even played the fourth preseason game yet.

Man look at that stern, all American kid on the cover. Everyone should be looking up to him and striving for his greatness!

And it is nice he is standing next to Wilson.

Why are the panthers so high up on the list?

Remember last year when the Browns tried to paint Bannar as an idiot and they pointed to him wanting to trade away Gordon as proof of that. Funny how things work out.

Why would the league want to give him the option to immerse himself in his craft during his suspension? Clearly, sitting at home with nothing to do for a year will make it less likely that he'll re-offend.

Look at Russell's gigantic
hands
though.
Banner's coaching wish list consisted of McDaniels and Schiano.

No painting required.
McD gave us Tebow though. I think he's getting a bad rap.

Browns fans being in despair isn't a new thing but why not wait till the season actually starts? Seems crazy to be waving the white flag before you even play a game.

Dude also pulled off one the greatest trade in NFL history and got fired.

Good that Gordon gets a whole year imo. 8-10 games and what's the point? Browns lose a year of him at a cheap salary. This way they still have him under contract the extra year, assuming he ever gets his life together. Either way, have to proceed like he's never playing again. Should've taken Watkins

Yeah who doesn't think Manziel will dedicate himself in the off season to learning the playbook and trying to be great? Non believer losers!

Browns fans going from hope to despair right around the start of the season? Sounds like we're right on schedule, actually.

How does drafting a WR when you have no QB to get him the ball going to make them better. Buffalo isn't improving one bit with Watkins because EJ is trash.

They couldn't even be happy through the draft before something went wrong. You go half a century seeing the same shit happen all the time (no championship after no championship, heartbreak after heartbreak, time after time, year after year, decade after decade) and eventually it's going to get to you. Can't blame them for immediately just giving up and getting the whiskey out and seeing what else is on ahead of time.

There were a decent bunch shitting on them for dealing away Trent "2.9 YPC" Richardson too, if you remember. They aren't perfect by any means - picking Trent that high should have never happened to begin with.

History is usually not kind of SB losers.

Wonder if the Broncos will be able to overcome that.

I would bet against that and see bad luck and injuries bringing them back to earth. Might be San Diego's year in that division. The Raiders are automatically DQed from consideration as possible contenders. Don't know enough about the Chiefs to know if they are capable of taking the division if Denver falls apart.

Also feel a little bad for Gordan. Its bullshit to get a year for weed.
