NFL Training Camp/Preseason Thread 2012 - A Farewell to snes :(

And TT might be done as a Giant...

Terrell Thomas approached Tom Coughlin after practice yesterday to say his surgically-repaired, encased-in-ice right knee was fine.

Unfortunately, his initial diagnosis was incorrect.

Terrell Thomas underwent an MRI and examination by team physician Dr. Russell Warren at Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan today. The MRI revealed that Thomas suffered an injury to the right knee involving the ACL.

"Terrell re-injured his ACL,” said Giants senior vice president of medical services Ronnie Barnes. “At this point, he will most likely undergo an arthroscopic procedure to determine the extent of the injury to the ACL. However, no decision has been made at this point. Terrell is going to consult with Dr. (Arthur) Ting, who performed an allograft reconstruction of the ACL in September.”

Thinking about the possibilities of an offense featuring Brady, Welker, Gronk, Hernandez and Lloyd makes me all hot and bothered. Add all these old scrubs, and it could really go somewhere. I just hope the line holds up.

I'm actually really excited to see Lloyd in action

Very different circumstances and transgressions, but both PSU and NO going for the "us against the world" mantra, though I guess NO is embracing iconography

Why do people on the internet get so angry at the products other people buy?

My wife has bought a Louis Vuitton bag and other expensive bags and jewelry and even I thought it was a waste of money, but that was what she wanted or her bday or anniversary presents. I am sure some of her friends thought it was retarded when she got me a a DS Lite for my birthday years ago, but that was something I wanted. There is a whole thread devoted to purses no on OT and angry nerds condemning it.

And ez I never bought a Kubota tractor or whatever they are called, but I did have a shitty Sears tractor that I bought from some random dude. It was a piece of shit and felt kind of dangerous but no way was I spending that much money on a tractor!

That's because your wife wouldn't up your allowance. I mow five acres, I need the best.

Disagree. This is AFC North. Everyone is good, except the Browns. If the Browns get good, it's only good enough for 4th. MAYBE they can squeak into third because of Pittsburgh's faceplant.

Im not buying the Bengals are "good" all of a sudden. We really had a good chance and should have beaten them in both games and definitely in the first game. If that happens they dont even make the playoffs. Ive seen this show before....

Mowing is a great break from ignoring my family. I'd never hire it out.

Rams camp Day 2. Consensus from all the fans on Twitter who were at practice is one of worry. OL looks just as bad as last year. Steve Smith seems to be healthy though and he and Amendola are clearly top 2 guys. Unfortunately both play slot

Yawn. Keep telling me how much the Cowboys are going to "beat the Giants ass". They haven't even been able to win in their own building.

Go back to looking for glory holes, Jerrah.

Wtf are you going to say when the cowboys win the first game? Fluke? Finally? Its only one game? Giants won the Superbowl?

Gtfo I can't wait.

Our current lawn is small but in this summer heat I still hate doing it.

Speaking of ignoring family, preseason bitches! Ben going to run wild for one drive on the Eagles!

What about Quick and Givens?

That works, yeah.

WTF are you going to say when the Giants win the first game? It was the secondary again? It wasn't Romo's fault? The Cowboys haven't been relevant for 16 years so it's ok?

The shit talking has begun. Ah....football is almost here!

Raw. A few drops. Running wrong routes. Quick could maybe be a strong RZ guy. Very good leaping ability. Don't really expect much from them in year 1.

Janoris looks good, but I'm not going to judge anything about the defense based on reports against the Rams offense. Maybe they can scrimmage some LFL teams to get some better prep

That's good to hear. There's no way I could root for Steve in a filthy Eagles uniform but I wish him well with the Rams. I hope he pans out for you guys.

EDIT: Heh, Pagano bringing that AFC North rivalry to the Colts:

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...an-andrew-luck-jersey-at-training-camp-073012

Colts safety Tom Zbikowski spotted the Steelers jersey in the front row right away .A few minutes later, he asked first-year coach Chuck Pagano to take care of the offensive sight.

Armed with a new Andrew Luck jersey and an ultimatum, Pagano enticed 24-year-old Anderson native Zach Simmons to make the smart decision - changing his shirt so he could stick around for the rest of Monday afternoon's training camp practice. Yes, the Steelers-Ravens rivalry now includes a handful of former Ravens in Indianapolis.

''He (Zbikowski) saw it and said, `Look Coach we got to do something about that,''' Pagano said. ''I went over there. He's a huge (Bruce) Arians fan, obviously, and Mewelde Moore. So with a little bit of coaching and a brand new Andrew Luck jersey, I said, `Look, you've got to put this jersey on. If you do it, you get to stay, if not we've got to escort you out of here.'''

Arians, the Colts' new offensive coordinator, and Moore, a running back, are former Steelers.

He and Bradford are doing extra work before practice, and I guess are working together well off the field. Really liking the signing even if it's kind of redundant. They are very young and could use a solid veteran WR who has experience winning

edit: A Bruce Arians fan? I've never heard of such a thing

edit: Fox if they can't block he could be Bill Walsh and it won't matter. They signed Scott Wells from GB and he hasn't practiced and missed OTAs for a knee injury and has no timetable on returning. It's camp blah blah blah I panicked last year and was proven right on that OL. I'm not panicking yet, but I've broken the glass and my hand is moving towards the alarm

I read that earlier, truly stinks. He was great in 2009, and while he struggled a little in 2010, he still made plays and was an active player in the run. Fortunately Reese made his contract set up so he can be cut easily if he did, in fact, injury it seriously again. Three serious injuries to the same knee, career likely over.

Also read former Giant, now Skin, Jon Goff tore his ACL and is out for the season.

Jordan Cameron has benefited with the couple of injuries at tight end. I still think he's another year away before he'll really be able to be out there every Sunday. He has a lot of potential though.

Feel free to put me down in Broncos gaf if it's ok. I probably won't be posting too much until the season begins. It only took 14 years but it's exciting to have a legit QB again.

Oh, you mean not addressing the O line didn't help the O line? Color me shocked.

Ben was the biggest Arians fan because he was a retard who wanted to pass the ball on every possssion no matter the scenario.

Haley might end up being a great hire. The offense needs a good playcaller, especially in the redzone. Arians was so horrible there. Hopefully Haley is adaptable. That is what defines the best coaches. The worst coaches just try and adapt their set plays to any unit or circumstance.

the rams have tried to address their o-line over the years and it has never panned out. draft picks, free agents, both have turned to shit for a variety of reasons (injury, poor scouting, poor coaching)

Well, they didn't really try this off season, and just accepting a shitty oline isn't exactly something you should do either when they're as awful as the rams oline. To be fair, it's probably hard to attract good FA OL, since the rams are about the shittiest franchise in the NFL, unless you are going to overpay for all of them.
