NFL Training Camp/Preseason Thread 2012 - A Farewell to snes :(

Well, it seems to work, at least with people like bionic.

Ben constantly whines about injuries and is seen as the toughest QB in the leage, while Brady plays through injuries like 3 cracked ribs and whatever and is a "bitch".
Brady would be dead if players were allowed to hit him the way they are allowed to hit guys like Ben, Rodgers and Vick.

There is literally no comparison. Lets forget for a second that Ben is not protected from late and dirty hits (or any hits for that matter) the way Tammy is, as squicken points out no one in the history of the league has ever begged for penalty flags for illegal hits the way Tammy has.

Speaking of dirty. It is any coincidence that the Ravens broke Ben's nose? Those fuckers are always out to hurt my qb.

Listen you dirty bitches. This is not about Ben. You guys can point the finger at him and make it about the rape charges or the publication of his injuries, but that is unfair. Thats my quarterback man! We lost as a team. A team!

I'm getting pretty sick of ESPN's Jets training camp love affair. Sure is a lot of dick sucking for an 8-8 team about to go 8-8 again.

#Texans DE JJ Watt left practice with an elbow injury this morning. Gary Kubiak: "Hopefully everything will be OK." #BullsToTheInfirmary

Your owner is a lifelong Steelers fan. As much as you guys hate Lerner, will they hate this guy more?
This is a misquote, he only said that because he bought stock in the Steelers, if you put money into something why not be fully invested into it. The Stock will be sold and he'll be fully invested in the browns.
And I believe he grew up being a cowboys and colts fan.

The only reason I supported the Browns intiitally was because of Lerner.

@ESPNCleveland
Schefter tells us sale is in two phases. 700 million first, then 300 million later. Lerner will NOT retain any part of the team long term

All this Chik-fil-A talk got me craving one bad. I am eating one for the first time in years. So good. I used to eat the stuff almost every day when they served it at my high school (Texas).

I supported the Browns because they felt comfortable. Watching them play felt exactly like watching the Blue Jays or the Leafs or the Raptors.

I don't change allegiance.

Good good, we need your leadership. Our core group of supporters on GAF are young.

Lebron is gone; sell the city.

Haven't paid any attention to the papers, don't even know who is buying it. Hopefully someone that will let the football people do their jobs.

At least Cleveland has a casino for now....

My day will come. I figure I'll live another 50ish years. One of these teams is bound to win something in that time...

Kind of makes sense being relaxed when rooting for teams full of shame. Expectations are low, anything marginally decent is like the Superbowl itself.

I dont know why people get so hyped for a casino. Almost all just play games that are rigged for casino profit benefit. Most are going just to lose their money. Dont see the fun in that. Did it one time, prob wont again. At least not for awhile

Especially when you consider that their stadium only seats like 500.

3.9% of the attendance made an order. Many of that is probably the same people over the span of the season, lol.

I don't care much myself, but old people that don't know any better or just want to get rid of all their money love to spend their time in front of slot machines. It's a lot of money coming in. Only reason I care at all is that it's a lot of new income for the city that's really got to make a new identity. Other than Cleveland Clinic hospitals and select businesses, sports are all it's holding onto as it held on for life. The casino means people in the city, not just the casino.

But yeah, 'the house always wins'. Its just a matter of reducing your risk if you ever go in. BJ is the highest % chance of winning if played correctly, but most people don't want to interact with a dealer and throw caution to the wind with slot machines.

My thoughts on the subject echo eznark's. I will just requote him because no way can I put it any better.

People only boycott companies that are easy to boycott. It's absurd, hypocritical and makes everyone involved look like a fucking moron. In this instance, it's a lefty issue. They are furious about CFA supporting DOMA and make sure everyone knows it by tweeting and blogging and tumbling via their Chinese manufactured devices. Other big lefty issues: outsourcing, "living" wage, buy local.

Give me a break. This is low hanging fruit that holier than though douche bags glom onto so that they feel better about walking past a homeless guy on their way to buy their 5th $600 iphone in 6 years.

It's a "I want to ease my white liberal guilt but I don't want to actually give up anything I care about or make any sort of effort" crusade.
