Well, the great thing about Guild Wars 2 is that it doesn't have a subscription fee, so it's not like you have to feel rushed or anything. It's also super-easy to join friends who are higher/lower-levelled than you, because people get downlevelled to the zone they're currently in, while still providing real-level-XP. You can be level 50, play in a level 20 zone with a friend and you'll still get level 50-specific loot and XP, while you're still being challenged due to being downlevelled.
I've jumped the hypetrain months ago.
