Rule book should be changed as that goes against the point of the "High stick the puck then gain possession" rule. That should be a good goal regardless of what the rulebook says.

The Kings got fucking lucky on that first goal. The ref should've blown it down, because Gardiner hit it with a high stick then touched it first, but incompetence won.

The goal itself was a nice shot, but still.
