There's no plausible excuse to play Borowiecki over Hoffamn or almost any forward in any situation, particularly on the top line.

I hope not in here since majority of us educated individuals of Leafs-GAF pretty much gave up on Babcock until he had that change of heart and surprised us all.

Yea, I would have bet a lot of money he wouldn't have gone to the Leafs. Stamkos isn't that stupid, there is some motivation for him to pull a stunt like this, particularly when he's already done it before and seen the response.

Gonna spit some real talk right now. Give me a beat, Kave.

I'd actually really like to see Stamkos be a Leaf, but only if he's available via free agency on July 1st. I don't want to have to trade away prospects if he's gonna end up being available anyway.

Now that being said, the Leafs have some prospects that can crack the lineup next season. Stamkos could make the "pain" easier, but I also feel that we're so close to having our own legitimate threats in Nylander, Brown, and Marner (for starters) that it wouldn't be a total loss if Stamkos re-signed with the Lightning or went elsewhere.

Now that's the real Stamcocku.

Uhh, coaches have shuffled players to other lines all the time to avoid unfavorable matchups. It's called coaching.

Moving him down to the third line to avoid tough match ups is understandable, putting a terrible shut down defensemen on your top line is retarded. Trying to defend that is hilarious.

Yes but why do you have to put an AHL dman up on the top line. No one has problem with line shuffling, the bigger problem is who's playing on that top LW spot was an AHL dman.

Seriously though, let's understand that it's not like Cameron was plucking Boro from D and putting him on the top line, he had been slotted as a forward for that game because they were short up front (and I guess Cameron wanted to sit Prince?) and were just running 6 D.

But if your beef is genuinely about Boro being put on the top line, then that's fine, that's understandable. However, that's not what most people are up in arms about. Heck, if you want to contend that you may not believe Cameron's explanation for moving Hoffman down and thus limit his minutes, that's fine too, but let's not pretend that coaches splitting up top line to spread the scoring/get a favorable matchup is somehow unheard of.

Ok and it goes back to his shitty decision to play Boroweicki as forward and scratching Prince. WTF has Prince done to be actually get scratched? he has more points and been more effective than half of the forwards in a limited time and role.

The problem is that if you want to shake things up, then why is it always Hoffman getting the boot, why is he always the one getting the boot to the 4th line like last season, and this season seems to be the 3rd line. Why cant Turris or Ryan go down, its not like they have been lighting up it as well in that game. Also you decided to shake things up by putting a fucking DMAN (a shitty one at that) on the top line.

Only in free agency, there is no way in hell this new regime would even contemplate trading a single thing for Stammer, but luckily it will never come to that.

But all this is useless discussion, he's not coming to the Leafs and will most likely resign in Tampa.
