But what would the lines be? Duchene demoted to third?

I mean if Mueller-Duchene-Hejduk* are playing like a 3rd line then they'll be the 3rd line. Sacco rotates line order depending on who is playing well. Right now the O'Reilly line is #1(has been for most of the season, but Stastny is typically given the most skilled wingers to play with).

Ya, that's what I figured. I know I probably beat this horse to death but I'd take Duchene on the second over Stastny but...

Good point Heretic, this schedule really does suck. Despite Beauch getting skated around a bit by the young'ins there was some really good physical play from Sbisa, and Hagman being Hagman was good as well.

You're not welcome at the Stanley Cup parade in June Socreges. You can't see this, so I don't mind being harsh, but I'll quote it again in June when you take me off ignore.

Tabris, you're not welcome on Planet Earth. I'll remind you in June when I've finished building you your 1-man rocket made of dicks so that you can fuck yourself while you fly directly into the sun.

Edit: But anyway, if I ever had a second team it was always the Ducks so I'd actually like to see them get a playoff spot this year. Just as long as it doesn't interfere with the Avs getting one.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the CoHo trade. This city has always been clueless about hockey:

- take nedved over Jagr
- ditch Cam Neely
- retire and hang smyl's and linden's jerseys on the rafters. (let's face it, any other team they would be 3rd liners as they were average players with just a few good seasons). Only decent and deserving player up there is Naslund.
- sign luongo to a lifetime contract.

That's more stupid than Dastardly's comment above.

Junior makes his presence known.

Coming from a bandwagon jumper who never played hockey before I expect that.

I have played both ice hockey and ball hockey.

Linden had 867 total points. He was a 0.8 to 1.0 PPG Regular season and playoff player during his prime. Statistics matter but more important are the intangibles. He is the greatest leader the Canucks have ever seen and most likely will ever see. He taught the players fighting for the cup right now the work ethic, humility, and pride becoming of a Vancouver Canuck. He is the essence of the Canucks.

Unlike others in this thread, I try to avoid insulting people, but you are the worst person of the thread (and that's saying a lot).

Fighting for the cup? He made it there once and we had a beast like bure on the team. We had other solid players like geoff courtnall , cliff ronning and a pretty good defense with the likes of Lumme and Jeff Brown. I also did say linden had a few good years and that is one of them.

But Linden will never make the hall of fame as he was an average player with 3 to 4 good seasons. His leadership is mostly noted for being a clearly contacts spokeperson.

If he is the essence of the canucks then we are in a lot of trouble. We may as well sign you to a 8 year 40 million dollar deal. But don't be surprised if someone from a rival team gets upset and punches you in the ovaries.

I'm going to leave this to other Canucks fans as you two are incredibly stupid and I'm getting a headache even reading your posts. I may not get along with most other Canuck fans in this thread, but I trust people like CCF23, Socreges, SpectreFire and Bish to come back at you.

I'm betting that Columbus has a handshake deal with a team that is willing to trade for Rick Nash in the offseason. They just don't want to give up quality players right now and/or they need to clear some cap space.

They have 20 more games left, then a long off-season. Probably a good time for management to plan things out before the draft and go from there. I didn't think Nash was going to be moved today, nor did I really expect any of megaton deals.

That doesn't make much sense. Why wouldn't they just re-open the bidding with Nash's 5 teams again?

The fan pressure and negative PR from this debacle this will eventually get Howson fired and Nash will probably end up finishing this contract in Columbus.

Ah well... no games for the Jets until Florida is here on Thursday night. Who the heck knows how they will play then. Such a bad loss tonight though... ugh.
After they put up such a great game against a great team on Saturday, this was pretty depressing.
