I had an issue with dehydration for several years in my teens. I was hospitalized three times for severe cases.

Sometimes you just don't think about drinking water. It's not so much that you refuse, and it's not like you get thirsty, it's just that if you don't drink anything (and otherwise feel fine) and then exert yourself it causes massive migraines headaches/temporary blindness/whatever else.

It's kind of a bitch. Even now I rarely get thirsty - if ever - but I force myself to drink water because I know what will happen if I don't.

Didn't know that was a thing... not being thirsty. I imagine it can be pretty damn scary.

I also imagine, however, that Holtby is well aware of it given his profession, so it must mean that even when consuming enough fluids it can sometimes occur under exertion. Wonder if it will impact multiple OT games in the playoffs.
