NHL October 2015 |OT| Dan Cleary was re-signed

I was wondering if I could get some opinions from some PC guys here.

Newegg.ca is doing parts bundles, which make up a PC. No OS or accessories, and they're not assembled.

I found a few of them, but this one seems good for the price.

Edit: Or this.
Ok, looking at your two bundles, I would avoid teh second since I dont really like AMD CPUs these days, the first one translates to around $681 US which sounds pretty good to me. I looked at bit further and found one other option I like

you could buy this bundle: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2351572
with this GPU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127842&cm_re=gtx_970-_-14-127-842-_-Product

for a total of $712 canadian. This has a weaker CPU and PSU than the one you linked but you will save $168

The one thing to be weary about is that all of these combos have Rosewill PSUs. Rosewill isn't bottom of the barrel, but they have been pretty bad in the past, though the reviews on all of these ones look pretty good.

I've fallen out of the loop on specific components and how they stack up since I haven't upgraded in a couple of years, but one thing I would stress above all else is to ditch the internal HDD and only have a SSD, or two, inside the rig. Your mass storage (porn and hockey 'shops) can go on an external hard drive. Almost all of the noise in a computer comes from the HDD, the disc drive, and the fans. Removing the HDD not only removes a big noise factor, but your fans won't have to work as hard or as loud since the HDD is also a top heat producer.

Since these options are just bundles of components, you can easily just slap the HDD into an enclosure and plug it in via USB.

id love to go all SSD, but its just not feasible...games are 50GB+ these days. I have 2 SSDs and 3 HDDs in my main rig

Yeah I have 2 SSDs and have to curate which games I have installed. I haven't really had a problem where I have two or more 50GB+ games that I want to be playing at the same time, but I suppose it could come up depending on your gaming habits.

Whatever you do, Quick, install the operating system on the SSD!

AV is sitting on 99 (regular season) wins as coach of the Rangers. Not bad for two seasons plus one game. He gets his first shot at 100 tonight as the undefeated New York Rangers take on the winless Columbus Blue Jackets.

Really looking forward to this home and home with Lumbus. Gonna be fun.

I like to keep as much as possible installed just in case, but a lot of things like dragon age inquisition and witcher 3 were left installed because I knew DLC I would be playing is coming, and then I keep starcraft + all expansions, battlefield 4 + all DLC, and shit like that always installed.

Rainbow six and battlefront will also stay installed, so it just adds up and I buy more hard drives

At least I can do that...PS4 is pissing me off, 500GBs is shit this gen and its really only upgradeable to 1TB for a decent price, and I hate the xbox one solution more as I hate externals

I've never really had this problem. Then again, I don't really keep games installed if I'm not playing them. I have a 512GB SSD and I'm still only using about half of it.

I have 3 1TB HDDs, 1 256GB SSD, and 1 128GB SSD

I love keeping things installed, despite having internet good enough that I dont really need to. I have probably 2TBs of game installs, 1 TB of anime and other video, and 300GB of miscellaneous shit. I'm basically out of room again

Yeah I used to be the same way, having my whole Steam list installed and all of that. Switching over to SSDs (one 512 GB and one 250 GB) has changed my behavior in this regard big-time, and now I basically uninstall a game after I'm done with it or if I haven't played it in however long. I'll keep it around if I plan on getting DLC, which I rarely do. It's really not a hassle at all to re-install if I get the urge to play an older game since all of my save data stays behind during the purge.

Right now I have Diablo III, Starcraft II, GTA V, Skyrim, Witcher, and a bunch of other games installed and I have plenty of room to spare. Getting bigger SSDs isn't cheap, but it's the most meaningful upgrade that you can do in my opinion. Eliminating loading times completely is worth the money, as is being able to turn the computer on and, ten seconds later, having everything ready to go.

I'm real anxious to break this winless streak.

But mostly, I'm just excited for that salt carryover to the Saturday home opener. Hockey is back. Hockey is good.

I love how people who try to guess who's doing coke in the NHL never go for their superstars, as if big money players weren't the most subject to it

I know McDavid didn't score a goal last night but his speed is incredible.
That's going to take some adjustment from the rest of the team to keep up. Damn he's quick, and he does everything at high speed. The kid can dangle and get behind the defence before they can do anything about it. He's going to burn a few a d-men in his career.

But keep your head up kid. The headhunters will be targeting.

Fuck everything from last night.

I expected no less from them, well I expected less goals so there's that! :D

And no Roy doesn't have control over the doctors, you shits.

Daniel Cleary has decided that riding the buses in the AHL is not the life for him and has refused assignment to the Grand Rapids Griffins, Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland said Friday.

Cleary's only option appears to be retirement.

THE NIGHTMARE IS ALMOST OFFICIALLY OVER!!! Guys hold me!!!

In the Yahoo league is there anything preventing you from dropping someone, adding an IR guy, placing him on IR, and then adding the dropped guy back?

Not sure if the GAF league works the same way, though...
