I don't agree with the business practices of third parties, Microsoft, and I assume Sony will be doing something similar. But like it was already mentioned, I don't see these things stopping people from buying it. The gaming community loves to cry, but they can't vote with their wallets. They'll collapse. They always do.
It personally doesn't affect me because I'm primarily a pc gamer. I'm sure I'll eventually buy a ps4 or xb1, but I only have a couple friends that game irl and we rarely share games. I do feel for the people that this'll affect the most though.

I hate the PlayStation controller and don't care for many of PS's exclusives aside from what Naughty Dog makes. But with that said, I'm not really happy with what MS is doing, I'll just wait it out and see what the final product does with all of this backlash. However, I am not buying it day one, will probably wait a while to see if any of this mess is fixed. If not, I guess I'll just play my giant back log of Xbox360 games on my 360. I have a strong enough PC to play most games on ultra settings but for some reason I don't like playing on my PC. I do hate Keyboard and mouse though, thank you plug and play 360 controller for those PC games that support it.
But with that said, yeah I'm in a wait and see approach, so far they have me turned off but not where I will buy a PS4 or god forbid a WiiU, I'm not that desperate yet. Also Halo 1-3 disagree with your comments, Reach and 4 agree with them.

The controller is also a huge reason why I prefer the Xbox over the PS. I completely suck with the dual shock. I really don't like the placement of the analog sticks.

The Flyers D is terrible and has no depth at all. They could ossibly have a ton of cap room this year, and if they spent some of it on a 35 year old that could improve their D for the next few years I dont see a problem at all.

Well, that's why making a big stink can be helpful. You can get the word out and discourage other people from buying it as well. You can educate some of these "dumb consumers". There's also the principle of voting with your wallet.
I was actually annoyed by the militancy in Gaming side, but maybe they can help create enough bad press over time that the XBone struggles mightily against the PS4 (assuming Sony thinks the same route would be a mistake) and MS has to rethink their strategy. I'd settle with MS being persistent and the console being a failure, though.
This isn't necessarily the "future of gaming", imo, and I don't think it's as innocuous as some of you suggest. This isn't the same as making online play exclusive to broadband users. Not even close.
