There are some posters that are seriously invested in this whole ordeal. I fear for their sanity, or in Marvie's case insanity.
Love that Hamonic GIF. Almost as much as I enjoy this one.
As for Streit, I would have liked him to sign on for a few more years but it became clear the past few seasons that his best hockey is behind him and he was going to be a 3rd paring / PP specialist. Once Visnovsky got here (and re-upped for 2 more seasons) I wasn't shocked to see them move on from Streit - they're two very similar players but Lubo was the more solid of the two defensively.
Provided he doesn't go to the Rangers, Flyers or Penguins I wish him the best, but I think somebody's going to give him a 4 year deal they regret later.

Oh my god, I just spent like an hour furiously writing a process document for work only to stop, read the first couple of sections and realize it's total fucking garbage. Seriously, it's like someone fucking vomited in a Word file and slapped a header on it. I just can't wrap my head around this shit, and instead of making one short process doc and one quick reference doc I tried to make this... abomination fulfill both needs and it's goddamn awful.

The pre console launch on GAF is a period of hyperbole and near insanity. It is entertaining for me now that I've witnessed it before.
The Rangers were interested in him last time around, so I do think they'll probably at least take a look. I think the general consensus is that we have enough stuff to deal with in-house atm to go after a pricy 35+ free agent, though.
If that happens, I just go back to being master-race exclusive. MS and Sony can go fuck themselves with their policies and Nintendo can call me when they decide to make a gaming console again.
Right now I'm either PC + PS4 or PC only. Ball is in your court, Sony.
I just got Civ 5 + expansions for like 10 bucks, master race is pretty great
If Sony policies are significantly more user friendly, eg no 24 hour Internet check, the MS zealots (paid and unpaid) are going to lose their minds trying to defend them.
I've actually always been under the assumptions that Sony's policies are going to be very very similar. They're just keeping quiet for as long as possible so MS gets most of the hate. I mean, wouldn't now be the perfect time for them to come out and say "we'll be much better!"? Them not doing that to me is a sign they'll just do the same.
I don't think I've seen anyone defend MS, to be honest with you. I've seen a lot of people say that they won't be affected by these policies but I don't think I've read anyone defending. I know I'd rather look on the bright side of things. Like having all of my games installed and at my disposal on any console anywhere. That's pretty sweet.
Nintendo is the most "gaming console" on the market...
Waggle is not my idea of gaming. Or fun. Neither are graphics from 2004.

I hope they don't. A number of writers seem to be insinuating that Bylsma is at the top of Sather's list if he becomes available.
