They were the most consistent team. Really good. No doubt about that but I don't think they were the best.I was rooting for the Ranges but LA too STRONK.

Why are a number of hockey media people posting tweets about HNIC as if tonight was the last ever episode? Did I miss something about Rogers cancelling it?

Time to take a trip in the way-back machine.

Smiley shutting down his alts.
Worked for Gaborik!Wonder if the Rangers try to unload him.
Doubtful the Rangers will have such an easy road to the cup for a long time. What makes this loss so much more depressing is there's a good chance the Rangers won't be able to replicate this success for quite a few seasons. Poor Hank
At least they're not New Jersey.Doubtful the Rangers will have such an easy road to the cup for a long time.
I'm eating crow, I said the Kings weren't a contender earlier in the season, and they just had one of the greatest cup runs ever.

It's funny too because there were rumours of Sutter being canned earlier in the season when the Kings were going through their rough patch. Gaborik really pushed them over the edge, and was to the Kings what Vanek was suppose to be for the Habs. He's the example every GM will look at when trading for guys at the deadline. To be fair, it's a completely different team with Gabbo. Entire complexion of the roster changed when he came in. Even more so when Sutter moved Carter to center Pearson and Toffoli, and Williams to add possession and scoring to the third line. Which is only possible with Gabbo on the roster.. Pre trade and post trade Kings are wildly different. Remember that two month stretch of Goddamn zero offense before the Olympic break? Zero might be giving the team more credit than they deserve. It was a nightmare.
Pretty much the perfect deadline acquisition. Thank God for BJs.
The goalies they faced: Mason, Fleury, Tokarski. You may think that wasn't an easy run, but that's the easiest run any team will have had to the finals in a long time.Easy? That was anything but easy. Flyers, ok they matched up well against. But the Pens were tough (coming back from down 3-1), and the Habs have forever killed the Rangers.

Now we can finally get on to what should be a pretty awesome off season.
Until Patches is traded

That shows Beau Bennett doing something, can't be real.

maybe if the Kings and Habs had something in common.... Vanek can't put you over the top if you're not see the top to begin with lol.
I'm too old for GAF, now I know it.
I realized that last year when someone made a thread about Mario 3D World and casually mentioned that they were 6 when Mario Galaxy came out.
