The Prologue was pretty tense, with fiery Volgin following Snake and Ishmael, as well as just sneaking from soldiers. Definitely a good refresher on the gameplay.

Mission 1 was good too. The Skulls were freaky as fuck. The moment I got to the first rendezvous point after rescuing Kaz, those things appeared and I just booked it to the next rendezvous point while being chased by them. I guess the idea was to use the mist to sneak around them? I don't know.

It's weird seeing an older Ocelot after playing MGS3. Doesn't seem like the same character, but cool nonetheless. Granted, I haven't played MGS2 yet, so I don't have a full scope of the character.

There's a way. If you go back to the mission to complete all the objectives, you'll get another shot at it.

I just completed Mission 10 last night. Taking my sweet time trying to collect everything.

Sometimes I extract Specialists and Ocelot complains "You're extracting HIM?" - what's the deal there? Was I given bad Intel from the enemy?

nah he just says it non-stop whenever you extract someone, don't worry about it

also do take your time, but not too much if you plan on playing anything else soon because it's a long ass game

The gunplay in Battlefront is looking like a wet fart, which is a shame because the visuals and audio are top notch, gameplay just looks so boring.

I'll try it out again at some point. From the MGS thread listing the little things in the game:
Didn't realize you can press the Action button to say "Kept you waiting, huh?" when Kaz asks you to say it while you're carrying him. I didn't do that. :(

NHL 16 tomorrow, NBA 2K16 at the end of the month, Uncharted Collection and AC: Syndicate in October, Battlefront and COD in November.

Damn that E3 sale on Amazon!

Having played the beta on PS4 recently, it's fun as hell. I might've just been caught up with the allure and nostalgia of the game, though.

I played the Co-Op Survival Mode (as shown at E3), and it was pretty fun, but it needs some coordination with your partner to be successful. Myself and the guy I was playing with lasted about 5-6 rounds before we both died.

Mario Maker coming from Amazon today, NHL 16 unlocks tonight at 9pm for me, and Metal Gear is absorbing my life (only on chapter 16). Also messing around with Disney Infinity 2.0 for all the Marvel stuff. That game is not very good...

DI 2.0 is terrible. DI 3.0 is amazing. Probably the biggest improvement in a sequel I've ever seen.

Good to hear. I might pick up 3.0 someday, but I can barely get through the Spider-Man set as it is and I still have the Avengers and Guardians sets to try out. It's just amazing how bad the design is for a game that's supposed to cater to 8 year olds.

Yeah, Disney Infinity 2.0 was a boring and repetitive piece of shit. It was a slog to play through.

3.0, on the other hand, is really solid, much like the first.

Why couldn't this have been the case when I was paying $4 per month for the piece of shit channel? Now it's part of my package or some shit.

I'd only really watch it for the games.

I only had LeafsTV before because of the exclusive games they broadcasted. At the time, they had around 20+ games locked up.

The rest of the time? AHL games (which weren't the worst), Games in 6 or 30 minutes, classic games, and just interview features.

It was never worth whatever they were offering it for, especially now. I'm surprised it's still floating and hasn't been absorbed by Sportsnet completely, considering the LeafsTV staff are (were?) Sportsnet people anyway.

I wish NHL 16 didn't reset my Be a Pro setting from 5 minute periods to 20, then lock the setting. Last year's did the same damned thing.

At first, I could change it manually for each game, but now I can't even do that. I had to delete the Be a Pro file.

(I simmed to the end of the OHL season first, to see if I'd get drafted. However, I guess because I didn't play a lot of games myself, I never did get drafted. That is, despite having about 50 points.)

Great level! Made it through by the skin of my teeth. I love the part at the top where you're sitting waiting for the circle of boos to move, and all of a sudden the huge one zooms after you from off of the screen.

there are two shortcuts. one is a lot more obvious than the other (you probably saw it even if you missed it)

Man zroid, your levels are hard! You're making me feel like a weeabo. I really liked Recklessly Jumping though - I always feel like such a pleb when using the spin jump in normal NSMB game, so it was great playing a level that required it to get some extra distance.
