So according to this article, we shouldn't expect an exodus of talent out of NCAA and Canada:

Matthews is a very special case. Don't expect this to become a trend, because Hockey Canada and USA Hockey would have to grant transfers to allow players to play overseas and they won't do it for just anybody who asks. Given Matthews' age, physical maturity and overall skill set, he needed a bigger challenge than what major junior could offer and he wasn't going to be able to go to a college program next season.

Seems like Matthews' is a special case because he hasn't completed the required course work to get into NCAA and USA hockey recognized the CHL/NTDP is too weak for him.

Well for every Matthews you have a Hanifin or Werenski who I believe accelerated their course load in order to play in the NCAA early.
Eichel apparently did as well

So it seems like Matthews is just either stupid or lazy when it comes to school.

Played it on my phone about a month ago. Put over 75 hrs into it. Fantastic game and journey. The into drags on too long and one of the planets is pretty boring. The game though delivers so much depth into the SW universe and captures the feel of the movies perfectly.

So here I am enjoying my well-earned offseason, when I get dragged back into NHL-GAF because of dumbass Patrick Kane.

I genuinely hope these allegations are fabricated, but knowing what a complete jackass he is I highly doubt it. If he's guilty, give him the chair and give the Hawks back some of that capital. Wins earned by a rapist are no wins at all.

Not sure if it's been discussed here, but Patrick Kane has his day with the Cup today (Saturday). He was scheduled to visit sick kids at a Buffalo hospital tomorrow, but that's been cancelled and he's opting to keep his day private with family.

Would have been shocked had he made any public appearances. He's under intense public scrutiny right now, regardless of whether or not the allegations are true.

Just saw the Kane stuff. Those are some fucking serious allegations. Violence against women sure seems to be a theme with NHL players right now.
