i got into metal when I was around 16 and its been my goto ever since, my core requirement though is "metal where I can still understand the lyrics". Slipknot is basically my favorite for that, and the only one I'm still enjoying. Shit outside of them the only band from my teens thats still going and still putting out good albums is disturbed. All the others, otep, in this moment, all that remains, turned to shit.

I was like you but then I deviated toward a lot of things, and ended up being super into Black Metal. I still am actually, it's usually my go to whenever I listen to metal

that's Afro-American Metal for sensitive-GAf

every time I look at the advanced stats of the Rangers, i just shake my head. on pace for the best record in 1 run games in MLB history, and like the 7th best "clutch" hitting season in history as well. disgusting.

In Flames had Clayman. Kind of a slow downhill drop since.

For my metal kicks I still go with 80's bands like Metallica and Megadeth.

Postrock stuff is Explosions, multiJhonny (what a good guy) got me into We Lost the Sea. Also been listening to Cloudkicker.

Tuukka Rask, who is slowly coming back to earth! His .915 SV% in 2015-16 was the worst season he's had since losing the starting job to Tim Thomas in 2010. Sure is strange how Rask has gotten progressively worse over the last few years behind a defense that has also gotten progressively worse. Almost like his elite goaltending abilities were a mirage or something.

Should Rask no longer lead the league in GAA or SV%, he will still lead the all-important metric of giant baby temper tantrums. So there's that.

[Chara] is now two years away from hitting UFA, and presumably, two years from either retirement or a year with the Detroit Red Wings nobody will remember happen. We ragged on Shea Weber a bit earlier, but he at least has some miles left in him. The decline of Chara, however, has been something else. He was never exactly the fastest skater, but now he's three strides behind about everyone. All he has left is being tall. He's basically just Dikembe Mutombo with cinderblocks instead of feet.

That's not the saddest part about this defense, though. The saddest part really is that he's still their best defenseman.

So I kept playing Dark Souls 2

And everything's going alright I guess? I have 25k souls and on my way to the nearest bonfire in order to spend them and then go back and fight a boss but then

Oh surprise, a guy invades me! It's alright though, I'll just fucking kill him, right?

RIGHT?

Of course fucking not, the guy was invincible, hit me from anywhere in the room no matter the distance and no matter what I did the game had no fucking idea of where I was so even if I ran this piece of shit would hit me and I'd teletransport right in front of him.

Why the fuck do people like this exist

PvP in Dark Souls games has always been a lag fest. It sucks, unless you're the connection god who is teleporting all over the other person's screen.

Hello friend, I am playing Dark Souls 2 right now for the very first time as well.

Please do what I did when I was invaded last night in No-man's Wharf. Run to an easy to get back to spot and commit suicide. Then burn an effigy. Now you can recover your souls and not worry about people invading you!

I'm doing a sword/shield build right now since I'm only like level 60. Might go pure dex build when I've got a nice balance built up and some better armor.

I left the Wharf last night after grabbing a fragrant branch (still need to beat the boss) so I could run to the Shaded Woods to grab the Black Knight Halbred. My Falchion+6 is awesome, but bleed fucking sucks, and it was almost on the verge of breaking every single time.

Tonight's plan is to kill the boss in the Wharf, cheese the dragon in the tower of flame area with some poison arrows and then kill Ornstein after him. With those boss souls I should have enough levels to use the halberd with no penalty. Then I'll go back to the Lost Bastille and deal with the bullshit there. After that I don't know where/what i'm doing. My roommate is playing at the same time on PC and is like 3 or 4 hours ahead of me at this point so that's how I know about what I'm doing now.

Just sucks because I hadn't found a "Killer" armor or weapon like I did in DS1 with the Dragon Sword and the Black Knight Sword early on :(

I've read some of his work btw, he's very good. Should do some nice things in Colorado.
