I bought NHL 17 about a week before it came out. Release was Sept 13, I'm pretty sure I paid for it on the 5th or 6th. I also have EA Access, which allowed me early access to NHL 17. So I got to play it on September 8, five days before official release. I was able to access Hockey Ultimate Team once and only once on September 9th. Since then, every time I attempt to launch HUT I get to the loading screen (white with grey circle going around in the corner) and nothing happens. I can't back out of it, I can't do anything, I have to shut my xbox off and restart it in order to get things working again.

I have waited for up to 25 minutes before - while doing other stuff to kill time - and nothing happens. Circle just keeps spinning. Over and over and over and over.

Got in contact with EA Support via Twitter. Had a 10 tweet convo with them before they handed me off to EA Help on their website. Had an hour and a half long chat on September 15th with some dude who ran me through two or three troubleshooting methods, then put me on hold for a long ass time, and then assured me that the problem was happening with several players and would be addressed server side when player spike populations die down.

Three weeks later I have tried every day to launch HUT and every day I get an eternal loading screen and nothing changes. Today I was in a chat with support for three fucking hours and he ran me through a looooong list of troubleshooting to figure out if anything could fix it. Most of it was ridiculous but some of it seemed legit to someone who knows very, very little about computer and Xboxes and all that shit.

After all this (not even lying. From about 5:55 until 9:10 this evening) he tells me he is handing it off to specialists because he has no idea what to do. I can accept that. He did what he could. Thanks Rajesh. I appreciate the effort.

Then he tells me that the specialists will get to it in the next few weeks (what the fuck does it really take this long) and they will see what they can do and then get back to me via physical mail. They will send me a letter in the mail to get in contact with me about what the fuck their game that I bought at full price before release will not allow me access to the one fucking mode that they advertise more than any other and the one fucking mode that they ever put any actual effort into

I paid $55 for a game that isn't even complete. This is fucking garbage.

jk that reminds me of that one fucking map in COD Advanced Warfare that always made my Xbox crash, and when I say always I mean 100%, and it was as soon as the loading screen showed up on the screen. I contacted Activision, they acknowledged it as an issue very few people had but still promised to fix it. I stopped playing for months until one random day when I decided to check it out because well it's been months, they probably fixed it by now, right?

NOPE, it's the first map to show up and it crashes my xbox as always. Needless to say I uninstalled that shit immediately and promised to never buy a game from Activision ever again

Have you tried uninstalling the whole game and re downloading it? It seems like that accessing HUT mode that early might have fucked shit up.

If that doesn't work, try accessing HUT mode through a different gamertag, maybe yours is blacklisted or some shit for accessing it early. And if that doesn't work, try accessing the mode with a physical copy instead of digital.

Pedan on waivers, which leaves Sbisa, Larsen, Tryamkin, Stecher, and Biega. If they go with 8D, then one of them will be sent down (I'm guessing Stecher so he can get more minutes in Utica).

Saw Straight Outta Compton last night. You didn't ask but my thoughts:

- Really entertaining. Lots of stuff I didn't know. And for the most part it was really well made
- Dre and Cube basically lionized themselves at the expense of everyone else. Dre is a family man pacifist who only cares about the art. Cube is hard but when he's hard it's a good thing and he gets results! But hey they're the ones who survived and thrived so they get to write history
- E was made a chump throughout. Holy fuck they shat on him from great heights
- Suge was a good villain. Probably didn't need to exaggerate or omit much there
- Ham-fisted cameos from Snoop, Tupac etc. Cool to see but really weird. Especially since some of the stuff didn't make sense chronologically
- They got the best titties in this movie. My god. 🙏

I thought the part where Ice Cube and Eazy E got into a fight at Chuck E. Cheese was a bit unnecessary to the plot, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
