Yet another nail in the Fire Bergevin coffin. How in God's green earth does Plekanec survive in the CH longer than Markov? How do you let a guy who has played 990 regular season games for your club, who is 100% retiring after the 2 year contract he is looking for, who is still pretty darn good at 39, walk away?

He has no clue what he is doing. Not a single fucking clue. What's even scarier is Molson can't see that. Our problems trickle down from ownership.
D core? Worse than last year. Still no #1LHD. Lets our best D-man of the past 20 years walk away instead of treating him with respect and letting him finish his career in Montreal.
O core? At best equal to last year if Drouin is the real deal. Still no #1C.
Goaltending? We just gave a goalie $70M in signing bonuses.
Prospects? Even more of a pathetic pool than we had last year.
Yet another year of low scoring, porous D, and hanging our hat on Carey Price's health and save percentage incoming.

I think I understand the decision of going to the KHL so he can go to the Olympics in Korea. That's fine. As long as he comes back to Montreal next offseason.
