Back to Day 1 for me as well.marc^o^ said:Ah ah ah! And to think I was hesitant ^o^
So I tried Star Wars, Steel Diver, and Zelda and tried a lit of looking up and down and there was no issue that I saw with a two tone blue case.Spike said:Yeah, that is a nice shade of blue. I, too, have been mulling around the colours, and I am thinking of going for the blue. Every handheld system I own is black, with one exception, the original Cobalt GBA SP. When it broke, I got the NES edition. I loved that Cobalt, and I couldn't find a new one around my parts.
Marty, if you could please answer me one more thing: using the blue system, when you look down onto the bottom touch screen and then look back at the top 3d screen, does the colour throw you off at all? I guess it would be better to ask once you have had a chance to try the black system, but maybe you can give a before/after opinion.
Thanks, it is much appreciated.
You're talking of the black one, right?Izayoi said:WONDERFULDAYS

Sorry to say that there's absolutely nothing 3D about these screens :/ Absolutely no depth at all when cross-eyeing.twingloxx2 said:Didn't see this posted:

Also, draw distance seems really good judging by these screen shots.

I really want to know.

Vinterbird said:It can handle DLC. The Wii and DS has DLC.
How is that? There are three shades of black just like there are three shades of blue.blu said:But it actually looks like a single, complete handheld, as opposed to the Frankenstein 'my top disagrees with my bottom' turquoise.
Fernando Rocker said:DS games didn't have DLC. The "DLC" content of some games was already in the cartridge... WiFi was just used to unlock it.
Vinterbird said:The Pokemon games had original content transfered to them via WiFi.
But no matter, Nintendo has officially said there will be DLC for 3DS games.

Edit: Sorry for the size of the pic, I can't find any other pics of the Black system closed.
Fernando Rocker said:How about patches? Any word about that?
WonkersTHEWatilla said::lol what was the point in making stereoscopic images when all but one does not work?
Only this one works:
WonkersTHEWatilla said:Yeah, but the black one looks uniform. You could be fooled into thinking it was just a handsome and subtle two-tone, not like the obvious 3 tones of the blue one. I think that's what he meant.

It's parallel - you aren't supposed to cross your eyes, but do the opposite - relax your eyes and try to focus into the image, like those old magic-dot pictures.MNC said:This one's inverted, depth is messed up

angelfly said:I'm 99% sure you'll need it. It'll most likely simply transfer the purchase history of all downloaded software and then remove them from the DSi.
mrklaw said:you need it. You have to download somethign from the store on both DSi and 3DS. And the store isn't out until May :/
I've basically given up. There wasn't that much I desparately wanted to keep and I think trade-in prices will drop through the floor after 3DS launch. Many high street stores in the UK (and even amazon) are offering higher than normal prices on tradeins to encourage preorders on 3DS. That means they'll have a glut of used Dsi/lite/Xl which will mean they will give you shit all if you trade in later on

I asked the same thing earlier. There's a "Transfer DSi settings" option on the menu that isn't enabled yet, but I have a feeling you're intended to do it the old way and the DSi thing is probably just for DSiWare. I don't think anyone has tried yet, either because they're getting an English 3DS later or just don't care about losing their DS friend codesbeje said:Question: is there an option to transfer your NDS wifi settings/account so you don't lose your Friend Codes when you migrate to the 3DS? Can someone test it, like using the NDS utility for it with the download mode in the 3DS?
Izayoi said:I can't get parallel to work at all for me.
Cross-eyed I can do instantly with no problem, though.
Does parallel have the same problem as cross-eyed where you have to be a little further back from the image?
WonkersTHEWatilla said:It was actually the Engadget gallery from a few days ago that set me over to black. They have both of the units under what I would assume will be common household incandescent lighting for most folks. Not high-res, but there are close ups of the black one. The black one has the glittery texture same as the blue one, but it's not so obvious in most photos I've seen.
