So, we don't know what it was yet?

My prediction, posted above, was so close.xdr said:I received the update, it's just a code for a LVL 7 Blanka Gold Figure. Enjoy!

xdr said:Oh, is there any option to remove an icon from the main menu? I'm tired of the icon "how to use safely the 3DS" and the video of Super Mario Brs... I found how to "move" but not how to "remove". Also if I remove, how to get it back? (if I want to see again the video of SMB for exemple)
Back in their MT Framework/Revelations rundown, Capcom had object-based motion blur implemented.The M.O.B said:The fact that the area around the car is blurred but not the car itself implies that it is using Object based motion blur which is largely a "current" gen technology.............I could be wrong but this would be the first 3DS game I have seen that uses it.
Compare it to the Psp RR whenever you boost the entire screen does a little blur, showcasing the lack of Object motion blur.
If 3DS does have that, i'll be $%@%# amazed.
EDIT: I thought it was shopped because it's extremely easy to make it look like that in PS.....
EDIT: I should clarify, you won't see that effect in any ps2/gamecube/xbox games, hence my doubt.
Keep in mind that the 3DS's GPU is capable of certain advanced effects that a PC would need a DirectX 10 graphics card for, such as tesselation.The M.O.B said:The fact that the area around the car is blurred but not the car itself implies that it is using Object based motion blur which is largely a "current" gen technology....

Seeing that I have several N64 games, WiiWare Games, and a fair amount of NES and SNES games on the Wii all on a 2GB SD card, I'd say it'll be a decent amount for any 3DSWare games.Neuromancer said:So how far is a 2GB card going to get us? Has anyone already put in a bigger card?

What happens if you file that nub down and put a 3DS game into a DS?AceBandage said:Same slot.
3DS Cards have a small nub that sticks out to prevent them from being inserted into a DS.
Speaking of this, I hope part of the reason we haven't heard anything about 3DSWare is because Nintendo is talking to third parties about their needs in a software platform and will eventually decide on a higher size limit, say, 150-200 megs?NateDrake said:Seeing that I have several N64 games, WiiWare Games, and a fair amount of NES and SNES games on the Wii all on a 2GB SD card, I'd say it'll be a decent amount for any 3DSWare games.

Does the DS explode?

I have a 4gb card in my DSi. It currently holds backups of all my DSiWare, a bunch of photos, and a decent amount of music, and I haven't had any space problems yet.Neuromancer said:So how far is a 2GB card going to get us? Has anyone already put in a bigger card?

Nessus said:How is it underpowered?
It has better graphics than any Nintendo console before it, including home consoles.
It currently has the best graphics of any portable on the market. Admittedly it will be eclipsed later this year when the PSP2 comes out, but it hardly seems fair to criticize it for not being as powerful as something that isn't even out yet.

Right. Just like regardless of whether PS3 can do a trillion times as much as PS1, developers still won't make every game 60 fps.mclem said:Surely the 'fix' for this can never exist? Given the system is rendering two distinct images, that's always going to take more power than rendering one. And if they boost the power so the system can render two in the same time it takes to render one, some devs are just going to increase the image complexity so exactly the same problem occurs again.
You are a selfish consumer whore. We all are. So focus on what the platform offers *you*. the overall increase in power and capabilities will lead to some interesting games. No more crappy PSone style polygons thank goodness.Amir0x said:The type of autostereoscopic 3D included in the 3DS will always be shit - 3D itself is just a technology that is neither good or bad. It just needs the proper technology to propel it, one not restrained by viewing angle issues or color degradation or, as is the case here, a underpowered platform that forces developers to either downgrade the visuals for parity or force one mode to clearly perform better than the other. Or provide the sort of common eye strain/headaches that has been widely reported from all corners.
One day, there will be a 3D technology that meets the criteria, and then we won't be having this discussion. Then I'll be using it too.
The important point here is that saying "autostereoscopic 3D is shit" is not the same as saying "The Nintendo 3DS is shit", which is what the fanboy masses are clearly reacting like in this topic and elsewhere. The Nintendo 3DS damn well better have merits beyond that gimmick, and by all accounts it does. I wouldn't be buying it if it didn't.
VOOK said:Oh well least we know there's new content coming... even if it's just that.
I think it's an interesting idea. A quick google search shows that "S3D" is already in use in various places (even here!).Fernando Rocker said:Someone should create an official thread here at NeoGAF about that, so wen can suggest terms and stuff. I would, but I'm still a Junior Member. I'm pretty sure that other sites will read the thread and will follow GAF's influence.
I think a good name would be s3D (stereoscopic 3D).
3D = Polygons
s3D = Stereoscopic 3D
Edit: If someone creates that thread, please give me some credit!
