Nintendo subtle hint that they're WOKE? And you should be too?

Wake Up Win GIF by INTO ACTION

I KID, I KID!

Azelover

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
To be fair it does a few neat things. I have no use for it, my phone wakes me up just fine. But I can see parents wanting to give these to their children.

Surely is not for most of us, but there is an audience for it.

We're mocking this, and rightfully so, but there's a ton of people who will buy this.

The nicest person on this forum
Was kinda interested with it, until I saw the price.

Waking up to games song will make me hate the song. I tried using my favorite song as an alarm and later on I hate the song.
Would be interesting to see it had Xenoblade 2 on it and would wake us up with combo announcer. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

It would be cool for the first couple mornings and then I’d want to throw it out the window.

I did buy someone’s ringtone of the Wii eshop music. That’s good enough for me.

The date on the clock on the box is Monday 3/10, which also happens to be MAR10 day. I bet thats the date of the release of the Switch 2.

It's not quite as annoying as the Moomin clock...

...but I'd blow my brains out if I had to listen to that every goddamn morning.

EDIT: For those who aren't well-versed in Finnish, the Moomin clock says "Wake-up! It's a nice day today! Wake up already!"

I love how none of the big Nintendo content creators have an Alarmo but anyone in NYC can grab one and throw a video up. Seeing channels with little to no subscribers get thousands of views is refreshing.

Probably should have picked one up. I may see if they have any tomorrow.

I just looked at the price! OMG!
Look at how softly the media treat Nintendo,

"Alarmo has alot backed into it, and that might be why it cost $100"
-Cnet reviewes Alarmo

Really?

"I urge you to look at some of the other Remote Play options if $200 is an issue"

-Cnet reviewing Portal

Edit:
"If you have $70 and Switch the toycon one variety kit is a GREAT VALUE... ETC"

- Cnet reviewing the late LABO

Most of the people here obviousely don't have kids (or ever touched a woman).

This will definitely sell like hot cakes.
Yeah because Nintendo invented families too .. how ridiculous 🤣

Yeah, without Nintendo you cant get toys for your kids .. or buy Alarm clocks for them 🤣

Haven't gone through this thread but has somebody made a "I wonder what it plays when I jerk off before getting out of bed" joke?

Yeah Nintendo are really leaning into a Disney-esque merchandise tat strategy. The Nintendo shop in Tokyo and museum is full of overpriced junk like this to sell to idiots.

Stick to games.
The revenue from this will help finance games, too.
This thread is hilarious. It’s like a bunch of adults are discovering the concept of merchandising for the first time, lol.
For a quick comparison, a BMW keyring costs half of an Alarmo, and it’s just a piece of metal with a car manufacturer brand on it.

On the whole, a typical NeoGaf response to any new item they do not personally like, it's a load of rubbish and nobody will buy it, what are Nintendo thinking, announcing this and not the Nintendo Switch 2, as there have been leaks after leaks suggesting a Switch 2 announcement, to be fair this has been the case for every month for the past three years or so.... but still..

Guess all those very well informed, industry insiders, never saw this alarm clock coming. ;)

Son wants one from santa. Hope it comes to uk soon!
From the UK website
Introduce a little play to your wake-up routine with Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo. This interactive alarm clock detects the movements you make while getting up and plays sounds to make you feel like you’re waking up in a game world!

Alarmo will be available to purchase later this week on My Nintendo Store!

WTF is it with the hate? Family-friendly company releases cute gadget, people go nuts. Some users in here reacting like the thing wants you to state your pronouns to even work, lol.

And joke’s on you, haters. The people buying the first batch of these will wake up one day to a secret announcement of the reveal of Switch 2.

I wouldn’t mind waking up to Big Blue from MK8.
How dare you fucking like things here 😡

Absolutely best way to wake up is via a watch vibrations, not annoying sounds. It was a game changer when I discovered it on my Garmin.

You know what? The name Alarmo seems to have a nice ring to it, and since my cat has been waking me up everyday at 5am for no reason lately I am seriously considering to rename her Alarmo.

At least she didn't cost me $100.... she was just rescued from the street lol.

Yea this is gonna sell out day 1

And I’m being serious

It's a brilliant product even though I absolutely hate it.

No I don't hate it because it's not Switch 2 that was never happening anyway. I just hate everything this thing stands for, including the limitations on purchasing it...LOL

bad guy

as bad as Danny Zuko in gym knickers
Even your favorite song turns to shit if you have to get out of bed when it is playing.

So maybe not such a good idea. It'll print money in the short run, but could damage their brand a bit in the long run.

I laughed at the 4 purchase limit on the nintendo store, lol bitch please one is expensive enough no way anyone sane is fucking blowing £400. It is kind of smart to make it only available for nintendo online subscribers first to try limit mass scalping orders but seeing as they are allowing 4 they will be scalped all over ebay on the run up to xmas.

Is funny though the types crying over the price are the same ones creaming in their knickers in spending over a grand for a pro console thats barely an upgrade at all lol.
