Can someone explain to me how you download your game, as I'm going to be selling my code? Do you pick a game on the site and it gives you a code for it?

My WiiU registered the game automatically, why isn't there any PIN in the receipt? This is for every game I see on the list.
The US FAQ still says you won't. I'm thinking Nintendo didn't find a way to differentiate them from standard download codes in time. OH WELL.
The Wii U registers all downloaded games automatically. However, for the free game with MK8, there should be a pin on the receipt in the eShop.

The European site updates everyday after midnight. I reddemed my 10 this morning.

Just scooped up Pikmin 3. I haven't played a Pikmin game since the first one many years ago. I feel like I'm in for a treat.

I almost guarantee it's due to high traffic volumes and the site/servers cannot handle the amount of traffic. I mean on one hand it's a good thing as it shows the game maybe sold fairly well on day one, but on the other it shows how unprepared Nintendo always is (we've seen this with the E3 stream for instance, Christmas 2013, and day 1 Wii U update lol).
The only other thought is perhaps they're trying to avoid excessive load on their network of people downloading the extra game. I have to say though, although I have plenty to play and am really enjoying Mario Kart 8, it drives me crazy that Nintendo of America was unprepared again.

I think DDP points relate to the money you spend.

I'd fully accepted getting no deluxe points from my free game after I read it somewhere on here but sure enough there's 420 points from Wind Waker HD. In one single free-game registration I've qualified for a £5 download code and am only 90 points from a second.
This MK8 promotion really is the gift that keeps on giving. For the £29 I paid after cashing in an Amazon giftcard I'll get MK8, WWHD and an eShop game. Ridiculous value.

It doesn't, at least in the UK. It applies the points based on the current eShop price.

Can't decide whether to get Sonic Lost World (only game I don't have) or just double dip on Zelda so I can have it sit on the console, ready to play at any time and not take up too much room.

Sonic's fine if you get used to the controls. It has a bit higher learning curve than colors and generations.

I got "you already redeem this product", "you don't have any account", "your password is incorrect", "Wario is keeping your coins", "no elite status", "-1200 coins in my balance (lol)", but in the end I could login correctly and everything went fine.

I made my account earlier today and still can't log in.
It timed out after the "Order Now" screen, so I'm expecting the worst.
EDIT: They've shut down their helpline, too. "We have no specialists available at this time, please visit support.nintendo.com..."
don't worry, same happened to me, I freaked out because I don't even get my confirmation mail, but then the gift was available again.
Never though so many people was aware of this promotion, essentially MK8 killed CN.

Was able to log in yesterday but I didn't put in my code. I did notice, however, that my platinum status had reverted back to nothing (said I had 300 coins until Gold). I hope they fix that little problem as well.

lol Decided to live dangerously... put in my MK8 code, fails. Put it in again, takes me to another page saying it's already registered. Go back to the main page "redeem game". "Game already redeemed" "Club Nintendo is down for maintenance". Fun times
Okauy, thank god I'm not the only one. Was freaking out.

Showed my proper coin status til I registered MK8. Now it's showing no coins and saying I have a game to redeem but that it's always "redeemed" when I try. I have faith it'll be sorted in a couple days. Feel bad for the engineers that have to work overtime this weekend.
(edit) Fully logged out, logged back in and it gave me my coins back and then let me redeem the code... at least it said it did. Still waiting for the final page to load/them send me an e-mail with the code.

Yeah it worked out. Basically, if you don't complete your order, it resets everything until the next time you logon so you can do it again. Free Wind Waker HD! Now I can use my ElGato to take proper 1080p screens!

As the name suggests, it's a party game. It's what you get when you want to play a game with a bunch of friends who come over. It's not a single player game.
(edit) It has a single player mode... but it's boring is what I mean.
