So Nate the hate doesn't think we see 3d Mario.

We could see persona, castlevania, megaman, resident evil 0 Remake, Oblivion, final fantasy ix, and Nintendogs?! Interesting!

No 3D Mario would be a bit of a downer.

I could believe the rest though. I definitely expect a ton of 3rd party announcements here.

I hope a presentation by Mr Koizumi, Mr Takahashi can't properly snap his fingers and it triggers me each time

It is going to be 11pm here, getting wife to organise the snacks. I'm thinking ribs, a birthday cake and a bottle of scotch?

Just over 6 hours to go. Can't believe it's almost here. How long have we had rumors about Switch Pro and then Switch 2? 4 or 5 years?

I hate that this is at 15:00 here. Just two hours later would have been so much better. Oh well, I'll have to do some PiP at work I guess.
Same. But reading reactions here on NeoGaf will be glorious. From "THAT WAS THE GOAT" to "Meh, I expected more" to "NintenDOOMED", we will have everything <3

This comes out at a great time for me, 16.00. My work ends at 14.45, so I have time to take a short hike before the main event. Hopefully there are enough new games to make the system worthy purchase out of the gate. Both from Nintendo and third parties. Castlevania would be overkill for me, I love that series.

Sounds about right. I remember skipping out on the OLED because I was sure there'd be a Pro coming out, and the OLED released in 2021.

Running any Nintendo game in an Emulator shows that a simply resolution bump is enough to give their games a nice visual upgrade. Especially when you compare them to the regular Switch output.

Any Xenoblade looks amazing at higher resolutions.

Yes I know it's not perfect, draw distance for grass is low, geometry is low poly... but if you compare them to how they look on native hardware a simple res bump is similar to a generational upgrade.

Nintendo released 4k screenshots for XB3 themselves (you could get them via rewards)

when you bump up the resolution in XB3 it can look like a PS4 game in some areas.
Believe me, I know. I've played all 3 Xeno games in 4k.

Better set those Alarmo's. T-minus 6 hours and counting.

...I might end up being asleep in another hour or two... it's past midnight for me.I'll probably just catch the aftermath later tomorrow... I mean, today...

My predictions This will either be seen as the second coming of video game Jesus or a big pile of shit. There is no In between as far as the internet is concerned with Nintendo.
Even if it is good or middling compared to any other company it will be seen as shite.

Also to be fair they have been secretive with this as much as they can so for me

I am waiting.

I'm really looking forward to this as there's nothing like a new console reveal. There's also no denying that Nintendo always deliver on the games front. I love their gameplay first mantra but they also delivered some great looking games on the creaky old switch.

Just hope they keep things moving.
Nothing grinds a normal Direct to a halt than focusing on a game I've no interest in. Like how the last Direct had the Pokémon segment.
Or going into detail of systems being used by a JRPG. Just give an overview and have more detailed videos available on their YouTube channel.

I don't mind Smash reveals like listing Everyone is Here, because think even non fans are interested in those.
