Nintendo Direct Today - 31st July 2025 (6am PT // 9am ET // 2pm UK)

Partner showcase FFS Nintendo just update the .ini for the xenoblade games to unlock the framerate and up the resolution already. It's a piece of piss to do with emulation, why is this taking them so long

Some people acting like being a partner showcase is a bad thing or something is funny. Remember that Nintendo makes new first party announcements in partners showcase too.
Yeah, most recently exciting stuff like Endless Ocean and Another Code Remastered iirc..

>90% will be 3rd party stuff. Might as well just watch the trailer for the first party thing, if there even is one, afterwards.

His source has to be someone who works at a third party studio/publisher?

Someone high up for sure. Not only did he accurately 'predict' that FF16 and 7R would be announced for Xbox, he said that 16 will be shadow-dropped the same day .. and that's exactly what happened.

So that means Sept Direct will be First Party reveals....

This partner showcase is necessary… To shut up some folks.

Direct deniers: How many times does NateTheHate have to be right before you maybe just keep quiet when he says a direct is coming?
People saying that Switch 2 was not going to receive third party games and Nate doubters are going radio silence for a few weeks…

Partner direct is very necessary right now considering it feels like we keep getting third party announcements but no Switch 2 versions.

While I like indie games, hoping this isn't mostly full of indies.

Nothing on Metroid but potentially we could see Hyrule Warriors 3 or Kirby Air Riders.

Either way, I'm glad it's focusing on third party as that is what mediocre right now. The first party line up for 2025 is already strong.

There goes my hope for an Eternal Darkness remaster or sequel. Pandora's Tower and The Last Story also deserve remasters.

Hopefully Nintendo makes some additions to the GameCube lineup.

I'm just hoping this isn't a bunch of ports.
I think it's safe to assume that's what this direct is mostly going to be. Which I think is a good thing, as the previous Switch didn't see too many third party ports.

Look at WWE2k25 for example on the Switch 2. The series is finally feature and graphically comparable on the Switch 2 and the PS5, with the Switch 2 version even loading faster.
