Looks like Nate the Hate and Nash Weedle were right
I know Playtonics did but not sure if any others have.Did indies even get dev kits before June?
This is trueIndies have their own direct.
This partner showcase is necessary… To shut up some folks.
After State of Play and Summer Game Fest, I can't barely remember how many third-party games get announced for Switch 2. For everyone expecting a strong support for it, I think these are bad news.

Got the console at launch, still waiting to pick my first game. Third party publishers need to make an effort otherwise I won't be buying anything from them.
Why stop there? I want these ones also!Prime 2 & 3HD, Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD is all I want. Please for the love of christ.
Expecting COD, EAFC25, Forza Horizion and a bunch of other ports myself.I'm just hoping this isn't a bunch of ports.
That would be awesome. I'd love for Starfield to make its way over.Incoming Xbox games…
Rare fans will finally get their games back on Nintendo in Rare Replay Definitive Edition now including DKC 1/2/3 & 64 & DK Racing plus StarFox Adventures…LolIncoming Xbox games…
really hoping to see is some Madden gameplay.
rumored FF9 "Remake" announcement
adamsapple is this in dev hell or are we good?
I think it's safe to assume that's what this direct is mostly going to be. Which I think is a good thing, as the previous Switch didn't see too many third party ports.
Look at WWE2k25 for example on the Switch 2. The series is finally feature and graphically comparable on the Switch 2 and the PS5, with the Switch 2 version even loading faster.
Another miss do u really buy a switch to play third party games that look 100x better on a ps5 or pc
Partner direct rip
I'm betting September direct for it. It was a September direct when all the original games were announced for the console 2019 I think?Do I dare get my hopes slightly up for a FF9 remake announcement for a 97th time?
This will literally be a dump of all games that you can already play on other platforms. I didnt buy S2 for that. I bought it for new first party games you cant play anywhere elseThey just released 2 in the space of six weeks. Metroid before the end of the year.
Some people are never happy.
Like I said they just released 2 AAA games and have more in the post for this year. What other company has done that in the first 6 months of a launch? This will literally be a dump of all games that you can already play on other platforms. I dkdnt buy S2 for that
Partner Showcase mellows the hype quite a bit when Nintendo themselves have a lot of first party stuff they should be talking about…
Dude thats pretty offensive to assume that i would play this crap. I am talking about promising games.Like I said they just released 2 AAA games and have more in the post for this year. What other company has done that in the first 6 months of a launch?
You'll be able to play Drag n Drive soon don't forget.
Partners? Is this where we see our first Sony game for the Switch 2?
A Nintendo partners direct doesn't means that Nintendo is not going to announce anything related to first party games…. Is this your first Nintendo Partners direct?
Some people acting like being a partner showcase is a bad thing or something is funny. Remember that Nintendo makes new first party announcements in partners showcase too.
Is going to happen…
Really?
It's most definitely not nearly as common as you make it out to be. The only times it happened were on October 2020 (Buddy Mission Bond, Part Time UFO) and February 2024 (Endless Ocean Luminous), most of the partner directs never have any first-party announcements. We are going to see a new trailer and release date announcement for first party titles and probably a teaser.
Another Code: Recollection was revealed on a general direct on September 2023.Yeah, most recently exciting stuff like Endless Ocean and Another Code Remastered iirc..
>90% will be 3rd party stuff. Might as well just watch the trailer for the first party thing, if there even is one, afterwards.
It doesn't have anything to do with it being developed internally or externally, as both Kirby and Pokémon were included in the 'first-party' section on the oficial PR. Hyrule Warriors is just not first-party.One bigger first party-ish game that we'll almost certainly get a release date for is the new Hyrule Warriors, though. It's debut trailer was included in the 'Partners' section of the April direct, so they consider it a Koei Tecmo partner game moreso than an internal one.
But partner shit, not fucking Metroid or any first party surprises, those on the west coast can sleep through this shit. Gonna be a bunch of ports.Switch 2 finally getting some real game announcements??
