I wonder if we get some new big 3rd party announcements in this Direct.

vern did say that he's heard rumblings of some third party projects that will likely be announced soon, not necessarily in the Direct:

Yea I've heard some 3rd party things recently. But I don't know if they will be shown at a direct or not. I am not privy to what Nintendo will share.

Okay, so I'm hyped.

But it looks like I missed leaks? Somebody wanna fill me in here?

Basically retailers and a few insiders (like vern) were expecting a Direct this week and vern specifically said he'd heard rumblings that it's the 13th, which it is in NA and UK.

My new "pie in the sky" prediction is that Okami HD is coming to Switch, just not as a physical copy. It would explain why Capcom hasn't announced it yet despite all of the retailer leaks. A man can dream...

Wonder when we'll see Switch Mini, an Apple TV sized box with the handheld aspects taken out and available cheaper.

I think that's a possibility, but not for this year or even next holiday. When they can't get the components to manufacture the regular Switch they aren't going to introduce another SKU.

Wow excellent, I can't not wait!

Expecting two big surprise annoucements. Smash bros anyone? heh...

Maybe we'll hear a bit more on Pokemon switch, doubt it. Would be nice. Either way meaty direct.

Of course Soraya retweeted, hyped for Xenoblade 2
The Wonderful 102, Bayonetta 3 or The Platinum Collection. I'm calling one of those three now, might as well go all in lol.

I wanna be disappointed, so I am expecting
new F zero
Mother 3
New Smash

I wonder if we're FINALLY going to get anything for that AC mobile game. Maybe an animal crossing direct announcement? It's been way too long to hear from that game, especially with FEH veing so succesful.

EDIT oh well that would be nice i guess.

Someone credible said that there would be a direct on the 13th in the Media Create thread.

I don't think there were any specific details.

Fair enough, cheers Drops!

So this is where they announce the fully localised switch rerelease of Dai Gyakuten Saiban right?

Very exciting!

I sense a lot of Mario, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade 2 and Zelda DLC in this Direct, but other than that, I'm really curious, what's been cooking for the Switch.
Or maybe they are just dedicating more time to Skyrim and the Sports games?
Really hope we get a good new announcement out of it.

Don't think it's the VC though, that's way too close to the release of the SNES Mini.

I predict that 30 minutes of the Direct will be dedicated to Eternal Darkness 2 and that the game will be released alongside a Denis Dyack amiibo.

Also, they're skipping the third entry and will announce Bayonetta 4ever instead.

Even if they have a Band Bros. S or a Rhythm Tengoku that's not in the American stream, I finally won't be jealous thanks to the magic of region free.

But I'm willing to bet that it's some Japan-centric app like a TV service or something, maybe Nico related.
Plus Rhythm Heaven would have a decent chance of getting localized anyway. GBA game aside, the west pretty much got every entry in the RH franchise, so I'm not too worried (if it gets announced, of course).

As for what I'm expecting/hoping for beyond Super Mario Odyssey (which seems to make up the bulk of this Direct), I'm only really expecting details on the 2nd DLC pack for BotW, release dates for Xenoblade 2 & Skyrim, and some trailer for the Switch version of L.A. Noire. We'll probably get a look into some 2018 stuff like Kirby & Yoshi, maybe even Fire Emblem if we're lucky. Plus, if I recall, there was one GAFer who was pretty confident that we'd get a Bayonetta 1/2 double-pack on the Switch (I really hope that happens). As for a potential wild card announcement, I'd probably have to go with the announcement of a Switch port for Dragon Ball FighterZ a month or so after the launch of the PS4/XB1/PC versions.

I'll bookmark this post for later.

I hope they never make a gimped switch without support for the best feature of the hybrid setup. I just don't understand why people want it so bad. Just leave your switch in the dock if you don't want to take it with you...

Wonder what new announcements we will get at least one r two tiny ones are always present.

But besides that I expect release dates for Skyrim and Xenoblade2; new Mario Odyssey stuff, probably more DLC showcase for BotW and probably another glimpse on Yoshi and Kirby again. They might even mention L.A.Noire.

I'm surprised the 'Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes' trailer wasn't saved for this.

Hopefully we'll get a couple of new Switch games announced (that aren't just Wii U ports).

A Mario Odyssey hardware bundle would be nice as well.
