I've been eagerly anticipating a new Direct!

I hoping we get some more information about MyNintendo, as well as a confirmation and release of Twilight Princess HD. I don't expect anything from Star Fox, but I do feel like we'll see something from Hyrule Warriors Legends & The Legend of Zelda Wii U. Earlier in the year, just after the delay, they said that we'd get more information later on in the year.

Nintendo has had some beautifully fantastic games out this year, but with the onslaught of blockbuster games, aside from Call of Duty & Assassin's Creed, their release list seems anemic. Next year is going to be a strange year in that it's a transition year. On one side, I hope they start focusing all of their development on the NX, but on the other hand, I hope they give the Wii U a nice send off and keep its memory alive through ports and backwards compatibility.

do you have a source for this? that would be awesome if true.

Yay, my first time in a GAF Direct hype thread! Where can I buy my ticket? Chooo-chooo!

I'm actually more interested in the way the Direct will be presented – and by whom – than in the actual games. But the timing's perfect for me. And surely they'll announce Mario Sunshine HD THIS TIME, won't they? :)

They will show off XBCX.
They will show off other smaller releases we already know about.
There will probably be Smash news.
Will there be more? Possibly.

Buuuuut....... It's been a long while since we got on the hype train.

Shovel Knight for Smash was always rumored to be revealed in November.
No it wasn't. Shovel Knight was rumored to be revealed within two months of late August (i.e., by the end of October) per Tamaki's actual words. You could maybe stretch it out to give him some leeway but it was never actually rumored to be revealed in November.

Official TP HD announcement, finally.

I wonder what new stuff is going to be shown, Pokemon Z? Anything major still coming within next 6 months for Nintendo consoles?

We really don't know, honestly. Depends if you consider Mario & Luigi and Starfox major, along with a smattering of other 3DS games. I expect there's stuff in the pipeline TBA for Q1 and Q2.

Zelda TP and new Zelda Wii U trailer.

That, or not even show up.

I don't wanna see even more trailers of xenoblade.

If we get an official reveal of Twilight Princess HD, along with some info on Metroid FF (I want to like it...show my why I should), I will be very satisfied.

Anything else is gravy.

If the GCN ver. of the game could come out in December in 2006, a physical Wii U release could come out in December 2015. It would be nearly identical in release time/window to the Wii ver. of TP's release and the GCN ver. release.

It would also be identical to how they did WWHD but then again WWHD was announced tons of months in advance so... retail was able to get physical copies shipped and Nintendo was able to release it early digitally because of a bundle.

Soooo I don't know. It really honestly depends on how much work is being done to TPHD -- if it's a small effort then it could come out this year. If it's a ton of work, on the level of their other remasters of Zelda games (MM, OoT, WW) then it'll most definitely be Q1.

Ah, yes. That's true. I see what you're saying. The thing about your last paragraph, though, is that we truly have no idea how long they've been working on it, so they might prefer to get it out for the holidays as another poster said, if it is ready, rather than releasing Q1 after the holiday money is spent (whether that's a concern, YMMV, but Nintendo definitely feels it is).

Just learned that next to TPHD Skyward Sword coming to the eshop was also leaked? Never played Skyward Sword so definitely looking forward to that. Maybe it'll be available after the Direct?

I know it's ridiculous to expect things like hardware information, and wiiu remaster, but I can't help and mention what I'd like to see.

Skyward Sword HD
Twilight Princess HD
Zelda U release date
Mario Maker 3DS
Nintendo Account details

Hardware-
NX Handheld information
NX Console information

They definitively said no NX info, so just keep that in mind. The rest is conceivable.

Though, no NX info makes me think no Zelda U info, because I think it's pretty likely cross-platform now.

I thought Nintendo said they wouldn't be showing Zelda the rest of this year back when they delayed it.

Or was that only E3?

Even if I have my expectations crazy low. It's nice to se Nintendo-GAF hyped again for a Nintendo Direct.

Hope Kimishima-San delivers!!

Just don't be annoyed and angry when they don't deliver what they weren't supposed to deliver :P

Also, where have you heard about "no 3DS revision"?

Miyamoto said there would be no 3DS revision planned and then bam, not too long after they announced the NEW 3DS.

I'm joking about the NX though obviously.

The constant references to the NX are making me think that they'll reveal it on January 1st, 2016 at 12:01AM with how much they say "wait for 2016".

Oh yes, I'm very excited for this. I'll fire up the usual bingo card soon.

Excited. I love getting updates on games coming down the pipeline and the usual handful of bombshells they drop along the way.

My big hope is for SNES Remix or some other small eShop title for the holidays.
