25 minute Direct means 20-30 games shown

PS4 gen ports are guaranteed, but the real question of third party support are:

1. How many PS5 gen ports get shown
2. How many new, upcoming games get shown/announced for Switch 2?

For it to be a good Direct I think we need at least 7 of each.

I'm also interested to see if they are going to add some value to these ports, if they don't have hooks, people might not have the incentive to by them.

Also FF7 info would be nice.

Lot of people asking for RE9 or Silent Hill f but I personally want exclusive 3rd party games similar to Bravely Default games.

Heck I would love Yoko Taro announce his new game for Switch 2.......let me dream.

Even better Vanillaware announce their new game on Switch 2.

Exclusives would be nice but I imagine a tsunami of ports. MGS3 also comes to mind.

I would be happy to have more news about Duskbloods

Surprise Astrobot Shadowdrop? With DLC content.
The bots crash on a new planet and everything is Nintendo themed.

This feels unlikely on a few levels, first because Astro Bot is a love letter to PS properties so it would be weird to toss it on Nintendo. If they did, it would be even weirder for Nintendo to let their characters in the game.

SQEX is moving away from exclusives. Might be a Monster Hunter title next year or something. I'm not expecting as many as on the Switch. I do think a lot of small Japanese games might just default to Switch, PC only. And I think Nintendo pays some indies for exclusives.

Tecmo also usually does at least a few. Dynasty Warriors games, Ultimate Marvel, etc.

Unfortunate, I think the bots are great as they basically cosplay as game characters. They could be ported everywhere.

I think he meant base game + all the DLC contents so far. Astrobot got tons of free DLC

Guys, a partner showcase means it's time to ask the question:

What will be the next Capcom collection featured during the direct?

  • Megaman 3D collection (Includes Tron Bonne and Gamecube Megaman Battle Network)
  • Breath of Fire collection
  • The Clover collection

Switch 2 finally getting some real game announcements??
Expect a big push for switch 1 games getting patches and some switch two entries from existing games on other consoles and a few sneak peaks of 2026. I do however think they will showcase some kind of COD footage to counter the battlefield stuff

Partner showcase is more interesting with Switch 2. Now Nintendo got a pretty powerful system. The possibilities are endless, especially with recent developments where both MS and Sony plan to release their games on Switch 2

Again, Sony has already released stuff on Switch 1. I'm not saying Sony won't do anything else, but no "development" has confirmed how this would ramp up in excess of what was already known.

Needs more games.

By comparison, this would be in the Clover collection:
  • God Hand
  • (Maybe) Maximo
  • (Maybe) Maximo 2
  • Okami
  • P.N. 03
  • Viewtiful Joe
  • Viewtiful Joe 2
  • Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble
  • Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble!

I'd settle for two collections with just Maximo/Maximo 2 and VJ/VJ2. Okami isn't worth being put in a collection since it has been ported everywhere. I'm not willing to let myself dream about God Hand or P.N. 03.

Capcom is stingy as hell with PS2 era games. You will get individual titles for $30 and like it.
Oh that's what you meant. You got to talk a bit more man lol.

I guess it depends on how much they value I.P. that aren't Resident Evil, Onimusha, and Monster Hunter. For example they threw 3 remastered DMC games together in a collection for 30. I think there are a few Clover I.P. they feel are valued far below DMC 1-3, even if they have diehard fanbases.

I think for P.N. 03, Godhand, and Maximo 1 and 2, individual sales of each might be a day 1 sales figure failure.
