Nintendo Downloads - January 2016

2DS, I hear. OG 3DS has best speakers, jftr.

I like my regular 3DS a lot. It's really 'cute' in a way. It folds up and I have a nice little case for it too.

But I think 2DS might be the best for my hands. The face buttons have a nice feel to them and the system allows my hands to spread out.

I kind of want to try Shovel Knight on my XL but I think I will transfer from my OG to my 2DS for now...

What's the over/under on the US ever getting the River City Ransom and Renegade remakes for 3DS?

Which publisher should I annoy to get this to happen?

As much as I would like to see it happen I don't think it will, but the companies would be arc system works or aksys. Atlus also brought a few over back in the day.
I think the company that controlled the IPs was bought out in the last few years so I don't know if that changes anything.

edit: arc system works would be your best bet

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
They announced some stuff about already-announced games there. You can see what on Gamexplain's Twitter feed

https://twitter.com/GameXplain

I suppose we'll get those news officially soon. Unless there's a Direct with those announcements happening soon.

I still have Fire Emblem Awakening to play, but I may be interested in Fates eventually. I certainly won't need both versions of the game or all the DLC content.

Anyway, I did my system transfer from my OG 3DS to my 2DS. I'm hoping it will help with my wrist pain.

Bravely Second confirmed to have a "10-hour" demo which will allow you to carry content over to the full game. Game comes out on April 15th, but no idea on the demo itself.

Edit: On 3/10, you can download the 3rd FE Fates story, Revelations.

Anything interesting (or at least competent) done with the hardware? I have zero interest in this game but if the Walking Dead port proves true I'll definitely pick that up.

Just touch-screen or normal control options along with Off-TV Play. The touch controls work well for the game. I'm not sure if it performs any better than the other versions, but it plays well.

Well, this is interesting. It appears the VC version of Pokemon B/R/Y won't have save state/restore points.

Could be due to preventing players from saving before they trade to duplicate Pokemon or something.

This is the first VC game to fully support multiplayer features that could be exploited, and they're giving out codes for Mew and such, so it just makes sense.

I'm not sure if I'm on board for these or not. I'm considering Yellow, but if it doesn't retain its GBC functionality I'll probably pass.

Anyone know if they include the JP only eReader levels with this too? I'm tempted to buy this even though a lot of these levels were re-made in Mario Maker.

Surprised NOA brought over SMB 3 GBA so quickly, more timely VC releases like that please.

Anyone know if they include the JP only eReader levels with this too? I'm tempted to buy this even though a lot of these levels were re-made in Mario Maker.

I asked import owners this and didn't get an answer. I want to know too, especially whether or not it includes the ultra rare "Mad Dash" which was a comic store exclusive e-card in Japan and is the only SMB 3 e-level which still hasn't been ripped and emulated. I also want to know if M2 included the e-card function for adding things such as SMW cape and turnips.

Zack and Wiki? E-reader GBA levels?

BEST WEEK EVER.

Oh hell yes, Zack & Wiki AND SMB3 with all the e-reader levels. I miigghhhtt resist the urge to buy SMB3 on day one since I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo put it up on sale considering they actually do VC sales now.

Edit: Japan got a Hyrule Warriors Legends demo today, wonder if/when the US will get it. Really need to try it out after seeing some footage. I have the N3DS, but man, that OG 3DS footage looked rough.

Huh? They're not, I simply forgot to add a space in between Nintendo 3DS and Virtual Console :)

It's a joke. Don'tcha know me at all, L~A...? ;___:

ETA: also my silly joke was based partly on the lack of space and based partly on me getting confused and forgetting GBA games go with Wii U and not 3DS. :)

Don't be a TTH...

Paper Jam will be mine... After I visit the post office next week. Also, I wonder what this week's sale's theme is.

This doesn't make sense. Handheld games should be downloadable on the handheld system. I'm still a little confused that GBA and DS games are being released for Wii U. I guess it's cool if they run OK, but I personally don't have a Wii U.

Mario Advance 3 (or 4? Whatever) isn't in the eShop yet. Neither is Zack & Wiki. The Warm-up Sale discounts haven't applied to Virtual Console titles yet either. (Vs. Excitebike!)

Really annoying Nintendo, even when you get it right with the Virtual Console, you still screw it up!
