Hoping Pocket Card Jockey is about $5 or $6 to match the Japanese price. Otherwise, unless we get a surprise VC release or another My Nintendo game, that might be it for me for the month.

Excited for a new month!

I wonder, with the somewhat barren 2nd half of the year for Wii U, if they'll increase the flow of VC? Maybe a new console (for the Wii U) like the Genesis/Master System, or NeoGeo? That'd be a nice treat at least!

I have been waiting for a sale on Atlus games forever yet we only get smt IV for the 100th time. I hate yurop sometimes.

Dash Kappei

Not actually that important
New thread smell, yay :)
Still nothing about Pinball Arcade EU, goddamn.

Btw, heard conflicting reports, how's Never Alone?
Also I need to tweet the Freedom Planet guys, how in the hell they didn't include a scanlines filtering option? The game would look so, so much better with one :(

I think it's on sega to make emulators for sega systems, same for other non nintendo systems. Which is why it probably won't happen. Turbografx/pc engine won't come west because of Konami.

the 3DS is probably the only console I get both physical and digital games for (double-dip)
excited for the new month too!

It'll be interesting to see if we get another Mega Man.

The only titles I can think of that they could add to the VC are Mega Man Soccer, Mega Man 64, ZX, ZX Advent, & I guess the Star Force games.

......& I guess that Game Gear game that was re-rated by the ESRB a while ago.

Megaman 64 is possible right?

I totally realized that & edited it in. Considering Legends is on PSN & I THINK the N64 version doesn't have the same licensing issues (as I recall), so maybe it could be on Wii U VC.

Edit: Heads up, My Nintendo has new coupons for digital versions of games:

- 15% off Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (600 platinum coins)
- 15% off Super Mario Galaxy 2 (300 platinum)
- 15% off Pikmin 3 (300 platinum)
- 15% off Dr. Luigi (230 platinum)
- 15% off Mini Mario: Minis on the Move (150 platinum)
- 30% off Triforce Heroes (100 gold coins)
- 30% off Tomodachi Life (80 gold)
- 30% off Wonderful 101 (70 gold)
- 30% off DKC Tropical Freeze (50 gold)
- 30% off Metroid Prime Trilogy (50 gold)

All until June?

Why did they release the Solitaire Jockey demo but not the game? Seems like a bad move. I'll still get it if it's cheap

One would assume since there's only two Wii U titles left that they would cram it with more than 1 VC game per week now.

I hadn't really noticed this till I was looking at the US Web eShop yesterday -- why is the Canadian web eShop so gimped? There is no search function at all. It's incredibly hard to find anything.

At least you have a web eShop.

Yeah, I noticed this too. It's incredibly annoying. I use the US site to search for a game, and then add /en_CA/ after nintendo.com to get the Canadian version of the game's page to check the price.

That works? Guess I'll have to do this from now on.

Ya know, after replaying WW Touched from My Nintendo, I think I finally realized why I didn't like this as a kid as much as Microgames or Twisted. Because each character's microgame theme was changed from "how it looks" to "how it PLAYS". I know they did that in Twisted as I recall (but that game was much more fun), but considering this was near the DS' launch, not only does it feel like a tech demo of "look at the different things you can do with this screen", but changing the collection of games for each character to how you play them kind of adds into the repetition.

Example: in the GBA game, all of Jimmy's microgames would be sports related, but the controls would still differ. In Touched, they all feel kind of similar because you use one style of control: rubbing. It's not until the stages where it combines 3 characters' minigames into one group where it feels like there's variety again. Though if I recall, later stages like 9-Volt do change it back to the theme of "how it looks" because it's all based on retro games.

I think they did this again with Smooth Moves on Wii, but I've never gotten around to playing that, so I can't make any judgments on that. Maybe my opinion will change once I get further into the game (I just unlocked Ashley & the other two, though I remember HATING Ashley's boss stage as a kid)

Edit: In an unrelated note, it seems Project X Zone was removed from the eShop in both the US & EU??

Where's my monday PR? Guys, I can only pretend to work AND stare at NeoGAF for so long before someone will notice.

I assume nothing of note gets added, but I feel incomplete until I read it here.

Well, I got what I asked for, so thank you!

Not the most exciting week, and no VC release anywhere to be seen.

7€ for Pocket Card Jockey, I guess it's alright. I'll write it off as an investment towards Luigi U via the gold points it is worth.
