Nintendo FY 15 Third Quarter Financial Results Briefing (10.00 AM JST / 08.00 PM EST)

That's the absolute MOST I'm expecting and even then I only expect a "E3" as the answer.

The reason this would be huge for me is it would stop me checking GAF every morning in hope of NX news. I could settle down. And with the amount of NX threads we've had recently I think we all need to settle down, lol.

That said I hope they don't wait to E3. Sony showed the perfect timeline for a console launch. Copy them.

Here is my guess:

- Kimishima says they have unannounced Wii U games and plan to support the system with strong titles in the coming year.
- They punt all NX talk to later. If pressed, I think they will say not before May, if only because Nintendo likes positioning their major advertising pushes in May for console games. Kneecapping that with NX talk isn't something they want to do.
- They don't expect Miitomo to make a ton of money, but they want to use it to register MyNintendo accounts, which they will detail a bit.
- Talk about Direct overhauls, probably announce that one will come in February or March with a new format.
- Discussion of the board shakeup with Takeda and Miyamoto being promoted to Fellows. Miyamoto will mention he's taking more time to work on games and less on hardware and implies this is both bigger and smaller titles.

I don't expect anything newsworthy beyond that.

I am not expecting jack shit about NX, other than "we'll be talking more about it soon/at E3".

I'd absolutely love to be wrong though, which is why I'm here.

Very reasonable guesses, all of them!

The first hour of the meeting was a live NX demo and we'll never know about it...

In all seriousness I believe that dude must have made a mistake with the time and it hasn't started yet. Surely someone would have tweeted something by now.

Who doesn't? For what must be among the shortest lists of titles for any video game device ever, there are some games on there that I've been dying to play for almost 20 years now.

What of its software would you actually want to play? Mario Artist and Doshin the Giant were the only things that seemed interesting and Doshin the Giant ended up getting a GCN release. I never played it but I hear it was awful.

Mario Artist probably can't go to the VC for the same reason Mario Paint won't be able to...requires accessories the WiiU couldn't easily emulate.

It's a non event judging by the stock movement - as its suppose to be until q4 when mangement will not make their forecasts and need positive news to divert attention.

It appears none of the people I linked to in the OP are live tweeting. Trying to find another source.

Well, we always have the transcript to look froward to at least!

Well...this is even more nothing than I was expecting!

We should get the Japanese presentation and Q&A in a day or two at the very least.

Well, there's an F-Zero X expansion pack with a track editor, which I don't think needs any explanation, and then Sim City 64, which was the first 3D Sim City (by a long shot) and looked like a really interesting take on the series. I'd be interested in the Mario Artist set as well, although as you say it's a tricky one to bring to VC.
