Nintendo has a YouTube playlist for the Game Awards

Pretty sure it's going to be something like Cranky again. Basically, some little news about something already announced.

It's not going to be Splatoon. That just had a new trailer.

I doubt they'll announce any new games (especially Metroid) as they're pretty solid for the first half next year. They need all the announcements they can for E3 as I think they'll only be a few.

Also what would be recognizable or appealing to the award audience?

My guess is a new trailer for Mario Maker, Devil's Third or Xenoblade Chronicles X.
 
Yeah, it's pretty obvious they have something to announce or they are expecting to win a couple awards.
They wouldn't be promoting the show that much if it wasnt for that

Reality: Hyrule Warriors DLC, Yoshi's Woolly World release date announcement, Splatoon gameplay.

Even if they don't show something new it is nice to see them participate, you know as to feel that Nintendo is a part of the gaming world..:)
 
Devil third and star Fox make the most sense, as we've seen little from devil's third and nothing of non prototype star Fox . Zelda U makes too much sense to show off, so Nintendo will save it for e3.

Id love a new announcement but I'm not holding my breath.

Probably a good venue to show off a new trailer for Devil's Third and a localization announcement for Fatal Frame V.

Every time something gets announced by Nintendo at this, it has to do with a western developer. (Cranky Kong, SSX Blur)

Only game that has a reasonable chance to be shown in Devil's Third, since it got no update since E3, it's a western-focused and mature game. Fits the bill.

Maybe Bayonetta 2 DLC for a real Megaton, but nah, I'll just stick with D3.
