In the past, the previous incarnation of this show gave us announcements for games like MGSV, The Last of Us, one of the Uncharted, Elder Scrolls V, etc.

I wouldn't expect anything quite that megaton this time, but I mean it's certainly possible Nintendo announces some stuff for early 2015 or something.

Probably just because they have awards for their games. I expect at most a trailer for a game we already know of and have seen. Question is, what could it be? Mario Maker? Splatoon? Devil's Third? ZELDA U? METROID PRIME 4 WITH PC GRAPHICS? DMC 5 EXCLUSIVE?? MEGAMAN REVIVAL?!?

Only game that has a reasonable chance to be shown in Devil's Third, since it got no update since E3, it's a western-focused and mature game. Fits the bill.

I think Mario Maker and other small(ish) releases may be touched on. You might get a big trailer for something, but I think most you'll hear about is downloadable games and post-release DLC for MK8 and Smash.
