Nintendo has a YouTube playlist for the Game Awards

I just can't resist the hype.
What will be shown?
Super Mario Galaxy HD Collection?
Paper Mario THYD HD?
Zelda U teaser? More important, Zelda U subtilte?
Star Fox?
Metroid?
FUCKING CRANKY KONG?

Somebody hold me.

As a brand new Wii U owner, I'm very excited about this. What could they realistically reveal?

Hopefully it isn't a new batch of Amiibo

Realistically? A trailer for Kirby or Yoshi. Maybe Mario Maker or Splatoon and a Compilation of all the games which are nominated for the Awards.
But don't espect any Megaton.

They've gone and done it... they've gone and woke the sleeping dragon now.

Nintendo should have left well enough alone and now they're going to get it. It's not enough that they're bleeding benjamins from practically every crevice of their existence. Now they go and throw immense moneyhats at a niche award show like TGA just to piss off the market. Why pay to announce a game unavailable to many gamers as possible? Why not put that money into first-party studios and games instead?

I know, I know... this is the way the business goes as they say. Well, they forced Microsoft's hands with their early Wii sales lead and Microsoft only responded with Kinect (source: musings thread) by releasing incredible games and value. Microsoft will undoubtedly follow this announcement up with some real megatons of their own.

Gears remake collection. A true Banjo sequel. Halo 5 beta in the hands of gamers. The next Bayonetta, Dead Space and Crysis as exclusives. Those are the kinds of blockbuster response announcements I expect, and then some. You hit Microsoft with a jab, you best be ready for a flurry of uppercuts coming at you in response.

Well that didn't take long, lol

Metroid Other M HD Remaster

A new challenger has appeared...

Honestly this probably doesn't mean anything. They will show something from a game we already know about and people will get disappointed.

There's really no reason whatsoever to get excited for this. If Nintendo is going to announce something they will do it with a Nintendo Direct.

Holy shit, when and where did the next gen version of "I'm an expert" happen?

I want a Star Fox trailer, more than things like gameplay of Zelda U or a new Metroid... but we have to be realistic, there will be probably nothing more than the nominations. In the best of the cases there will be a trailer from something showed at E3 (Devil's Third, maybe?).

Can't wait for the announcement of Cranky Kong Country, a new game from Retro where you play as Cranky Kong and complain about how it's not Metroid Prime 4.

The Nintendo hype is so insane.
"Oh, Nintendo will upload footage of game awards..."

"METROID TRAILER INCOMING!"

I love it XD

This could very well just be because they're officially behind the game awards.
They were even mentioned in the GA press releases.

I am really glad Nintendo is partly sponsoring these awards. It always seemed to me that the game industry neglected Nintendo in these big events. From GOTY nominations to anticipated games to generally being in the conversation Nintendo always got the short end of the stick. Now with them sponsoring finally we will start seeing Nintendo coverage as well. I am not a huge Nintendo fan but I am glad this will get them some much needed coverage.

Probably for when they win some awards (B2 GOTY?). Like some of those thank you videos with game characters, if they're still doing that sort of thing for these awards.

Hell isn't Bayo 2 the only Nintendo game that's nominated for GOTY here? I like that, it gives Bayo 2 some much deserved and needed attention, especially if it wins.
