Nah it will happen, before E3 and open the gates to the crazyness on the 15

I dunno, it feels weird to me they went and announced their plans for the Direct with no mention of a console announcement coming soon.

Obviously isn't happening today, which only leaves next week?

I guess Nintendo could announce it later, but all those insiders are sure its gonna be revealed before E3, they can't be all wrong can they? 😳

I am staying up a few minutes past midnight and have an alarm set for 3am. I am holding out hope that preorders for Switch Pro come online on June 4th EST or PST.

Oh yeah, just noticed that.. assumed that was about today.

So why does anyone think anything is happening today?

I assumed there was a direct scheduled for today with all the hype.. is it all based on leaks?
Rumors, retailer listings, and random insider hints--your usual mix of pre-E3 madness. Mostly, I think people want to believe.

why are you so excited?

for yet another leaf-gathering game or for another photo capture one? only in higher resolution like consoles from 5 years ago had?

It's gonna happen on a Tuesday.

Thursday is for potentially controversial stuff, like the Wii name, Project Labo or Wind Waker. A Switch Pro is expected at this point.

If so many developers are truly working on "Switch Pro" versions of their games I'm kinda shocked nothing big has leaked yet. We have rumors of it's existence and some of the physical elements of the device but no leaked opinions of performance or what Pro versions are coming.

could be announced monday. could be announced next week sometime. could be announced next month or next year. or maybe not at all. :messenger_fearful:

I still remember the ridiculous reactions by the likes of Kotaku etc

"how dare Nintendo use only attractive women to interface with the press / customers"
I didn't care either way, what sucked was hearing from models about the big loss in job positions for people who were paid to be next to booths. Nothing was created to replace the position. There was a convention about every month back then so I could picture the loss of money. Of course all of the journalist outlets remained silent about that 🤷‍♂️
