The sooner the general population understands that the vast majority of people don't care about pixel counting the better we can move away from this crap.
Nintendo doesn't "get a free pass" there's plenty to criticize and people are vocal about it.

Every system gets a free pass from fans of the other systems.
Everyone's guilty of thinking it to some extent I believe and I do think that when it comes to reviews that there is obviously some allegiances to franchises or platforms. Everyone's human and like many have said. Who are the platforms with the most users so statistically there is a higher chance of more fans of that platform being in positions such as reviewers.
Saying that, Nintendo has never failed me. The most fun I have with any platforms titles and thats what its all about.

I don't think there are many specific Nintendo haters. After the disappearance of a main enemy, the console war is only slowly shifting toward the Nintendo front.

I honestly find it hard to defend any of big 3 at the moment. They all do stupid and/or abusive things.
I'll keep my ps5 for the rare moments of clarity Sony has and makes a game like Astro Bot, but I've already started researching prices/parts to get a gaming PC.
Not only for new games, but for old ones I really miss playing too, like Heroes of Might and Magic 3 or the original Diablo.

If you're hooked on your PS5, you can just grab some old rig from around 2014 as a used system. A GTX 970, 16GB of RAM, and an i5 can often be found for under 100 Euros, and that's more than enough for retro gaming pre-2010.

100%. 700€ will get you a decent rig for example with an Intel Arc B580.

Nintendo franchises change quite a bit, and not always in ways I like. Though often in ways that make them more popular and increase sales. For example, they no longer make the kind of Zelda games I fell in love with, they make a different game that sells many dozens more millions units.
