Ok the dark thing was just a one time glitch but now the game is overwhelming me with a fuckload of mechanics and stuff to use\upgrade, i kinda feel a bit lost lol, it makes me feel like i'm playing the game using only 30% of these things
What is the best overall dlss? quality, balanced or performance? i'm using balanced but i can't quite achieve locked 60 at 4k, i'm gonna try 1800p\quality later.
General advice:
1) Don't be afraid to use the dojo for training and practicing your moves.
2) Play around with all the weapons until you find 2 you like and stick with those for a while until you learn to be familiar with them. It's common to pick one short range weapon and one longer range weapon.
3) The game has lots of convenient hidden things that just make the systems easier to use. When sorting equipment, you can sort by type. When selling gear you can hit sell all, or hit a different button to check them to a list and then sell the ones you checked at the end to speed it up.
4) Don't be afraid to play co-op a lot. After you get a few levels in, just start going to the Tori Gate from the home base menu. Hit random encounters and drop in. There is no penalty for dying and you don't ever lose your souls. You only can help no levels you've already finished, and it just lets you practice stuff you already played to get better at the game, and you can get level ups fast and easy this way. And most importantly, it's a ton of fun to help others get through stuff you struggled with initially.
5) You get skill points from using your weapon / ninjutsu / magic. What this means, is that every mission you play, you should use all your magic, and your ninja items because it just gives you free skill points when you use them a lot. Even if you don't want a magic build, just equip one magic spell on your weapon and use all of it every mission, and you'll steadily get magic pts for free basically.
6) On consoles, you hit start and you can read a description of every stat in the game. This includes all equipment bonuses. If you don't know what something is, hit the button and read it.
Ki / fatigue:
1)The number one most important thing about this game is fatigue (Ki) management. If you spam attack, you are going to die. You have to put yourself into the mindset of an actual fight, or seeing two fighters square off in the ring. They size each other up and take their time. They do a few strikes and then back up. If you try and do 3 full combos in a row, you're going to get gassed if they attack and die.
2) The same goes for enemies. It is actually a viable strategy to let enemies attack and miss to get tired. You can take out some soldiers by letting them swing a few times with misses, then hit them once and they're exhausted. It's great.
3) Ki pulse is the single most important thing in the game. Practice it over and over until you get used to it, and use it after every single attack combo.
4) Be very weary of fatigue in dark realms. Be even more conservative with your attacks as you get tired faster.
Burst Counter:
1) The 2nd most important thing in the game. You have to be able to do this instantly whenever you see that red flash from an enemy. Don't get discouraged, because this is 2nd most frequent mechanic used for the whole game. No escaping it.
2) If you can't get the timing down naturally after practice, try all 3 types of demons (Brute, Feral, Phantom). The timing on each of their Burst Counters is different so you can pick one that feels like natural timing for you.
