No Man's Sky Amazon Pre Order

Who expected 60$ though

First off I did this just cuz it's live to pre order now- and secondly it's an "indie" I don't think may people expected full MSRP for this.

I certainly didn't

I didn't expect it until I saw the Amazon listing months ago.

This never seemed like a $60 game to me and I certainly won't pay that much for it

It's for all intents and purposes an indie game made by a small team, I don't see why it should be priced like AAA retail

I wasn't expect $60 at first, but once it became apparent that Sony had sorta scooped them up under their wing and seemingly pumped a little bit of money into them, I knew it was going to be $60.

If the price was related to the amount of people making the game Assassins Creed would require a mortgage to buy.

No price info has actually been released yet but if enough people pre order it at $60 the now Sony would be mad to reduce it.

Thought this was a downloadable only game at first for at most $30. Will wait it out now, it looks alright but nothing I would pay $60 for.

[digital code] for $60

Sounds placeholder but then again it also wouldn't be shocking compared to some of the pricing practices these days

$60? I thought this was an indie game, $30 at best. Well, it does look awesome, but don't know if I want to pay full price for that.

Everyone just loves how big this game is going to be. Now it shows up with a $60 price tag and people are complaining.

I was always under the impression that it would be a full priced release.. just the vibe I always had from the game.

I can't see myself preordering a game that I know so little about.

Especially with the rumors of the PS4 version having serious issues :(

Yeah i like this model. No Man's Sky should cost $20, Assassin's Creed Syndicate should cost $140

Of course there's no direct correlation, but my point still stands. NMS is made by a team of 10 people (at least in 2014) and their last game was Joe Danger.

It seems a bit much to go from that to $60 retail and deliver what people expect from that.

I'm not complaining. I'm interested in the game but not $60-interested. It doesn't look like it will deliver that much value to me.

Should they just remain independent and charge "indie" "prices" (???) forever?

I always thought it will be a $60 game, just by the way they are selling it.
To me it's worth $20 at most, I can wait until it reaches that price.

As another poster said, Sony have been pushing this harder than pretty much almost every other game on PS4. Anyone that thought that this wasn't going to be full price was deluding themselves, indie game label or not.

I've had it preordered for so long and it's worth every penny. Can't wait for a game that is finally fulfilling my childhood dreams.

again I think when people see the term "indie" they think the game should automatically be budget priced. Wrong mentality to have imo.

Now the game may not be worth $60 to those people and that's fine but to assume the game would be $20 isn't right either.

Goddamn guys it's a placeholder, has been for months.

There is no official price yet and there probably wont be until much closer to its summer next year release date.

Although why the hell should the amount of people working on it have any reflection on it's price?

I'm more than happy to spend $60 on this game by the way. If it pans out the way I think it will, it will have value than any number of AAA games I've played before.
