Giant cave networks, beware. I know there is a huuuge ass creature deep within one on my current planet but am too chickenshit to wander off too deep and get lost. I hear the thing making weird ass sounds from miles away surrounding these caves. It's eerie as hell but amazing lol.

Dear lawd, this game is just too much. I want infinite inventory though lol.

Seriously

Did this when I first got into space. Took me 10 minutes to get to the next planet. Finished up there and wanted to check out another. Same thing, 10 minutes away. I was seriously considering giving up on the game because I'm not spending Tha much time flying through space.

Thankfully my buddy pointed out the pulse engine thing.... Yea. .. Felt like an idiot.
Also in case you haven't noticed it, once you start a pulse jump you can let go of the controller or futz around in your menus while you travel :)

Did you actually see the creature?

So if anyone could tell me what this is I'd love to know. The aliens were the only ones who spoke my language.

My brother asked this question a while back and I don't think he got a response.

Basically:

Does it ever get repetitive/tiring/boring after doing the same thing over and over again after the first few planets?

I figured it would be best if he heard it from you guys.

I landed on a planet where it looks like a monster attacked every single base and killed every alien. And I hear growling everywhere. Wtf is going on lol. This game is great.

Quick question:

I didn't interact with the atlas by my ship at the start of the game...am I hosed?

I'm now hours away and off planet...

I thought the "3 paths" choice would come later, like on the first space station or something...I didn't even notice it...

Yes it does. It's amazing how samey all the planets become after your first 5 or so, scattered with a few moments of brilliance when you find a cool creature or world or landmark. But those are few and far between and the pattern the game is based off of makes itself clear pretty quickly. It's still pretty amazing what they've accomplished, but landing on a planet just to find the same building with the same looking ugly dude sitting in the same chair asking you the same weird questions gets old quick. The densely packed "points of interest" are like the same set of 20 cycled on every planet, and the wonder will wear off quickly for most.

I'm not sure what to trade and what to just sell. My inventory keeps filling up and I'm afraid of selling something that I will really need. I can barely keep 1 slot open. What a struggle.

Amazon still says "Shipping Today" which had me worried, but luckily it was there when I got home. I'm going with Best Buy next time for new release games. Since it was shipped so late it got here in the evening. I'd rather not have half the day gone when I'm anticipating playing on launch day. I had work today so it was a minor issue this time.

Or you could pick it up on your way home ffrom a retail store! 😁

So, reddit is freaking out again because the chaps that tried to meet up couldn't see each other. Does anyone else not give a shit? I mean Yeah they have sort of said that it would be theoretically possible, but they also never explained how it would work so who knows, maybe these guys couldn't phase up for some reason.

Even so, I'd almost rather have the universe to myself in the physical sense. The asynchronous sense of other people's discoveries is neat, and I enjoy that, but I really have no desire to see or interact with other players.

I just want people to run into my discoveries.

Well, they said it would be in the game so... hopefully just server issues.

Guys, I found a moon where I can just farm gold. It's literally everywhere.

What do I do? Farm the gold, or are there going to be better opportunities to make $$$ later?

I'm on my fourth star system.

I don't give a damn and never expected it to be anything other than a singleplayer game. My ps4 has been in the appear offline mode for the last few months anyway, I just want to be left alone when I game most of the time. It's my downtime, I don't need other people invading my moment of zen.

Racing and football games are the only exception because those games are competitive in nature and playing against real people can provide a better experience if you find a good bunch of people to play with but for everything else... Leave me the fuck alone.

Hey, have any of y'all found a Gravitino Ball?

I found a bunch all together on a planet and the second I grabbed it, all sentinels attacked me and chased me through space.

It says it's extremely rare, curious if any of y'all have found one/or more?

Not yet. I'm planning to go back though; heard it's deep sounds waay more at night also. I must find this beast and tame/kill it eventually.

I've been hearing weird monster noises a lot on completely dead planets so I wouldn't waste too much of your time

I tried to like the game. I wanted to.

But I can't play open world games. After about an hour I just get immensely tired. I don't know if its boredom or information overload or what.

Luckily Sony refunded me the game. Maybe I'll pick up I Am Setsuna or something.

The same thing happened to me when I grabbed some Vortex Spheres off these pedestals.

They chased me into space and then shot me down.

Lesson learned haha

In my fourth system with the pre order ship, never did the hyperdrive quest.

And...Accidentally bought a ship with no hyperdrive. No longer have the quest available and can't jump back to the old systems now. Am I boned?

I cannot for the life of me find the schematic or person so I can craft warp cells. Spent the last hour and a half flying around for outposts and just anything where I'd think it would be. On the plus side I've learned a bit of korvax that's helped out a ton with wooing the locals

I'd really like to get out of my solar system. 3 terrible planet's with little life and lots of toxic rain, toxic tenticle arm things.

The caves are nice and plutonium is plentiful. Got a 107%× on the galactic trade markets, so that's okay I guess a.

Yeah I found a planet completely covered in them. Another planet I found was completely covered in vortex boxes.

They should just come out and say "we couldn't make it work, we tried, maybe we will put it in later, maybe not."

I'm on my fourth star system.

I farmed my starter planet until I got my current ship that cost me 1.2m. Before leaving the planet I already had the highest milestone for killing Sentinels (space cops), and then I noticed that's the one without any trophies. Goddamnit.

Just got the Homing Grenades mod. Time to kill stuff.

This is exactly what I was concerned about this game from the beginning. 18 quintillion planets to visit but they are mostly the same apart from some colors and terrain changes and. It enough real change to make it more engaging. I have my game coming tomorrow but now I am not sure if I should open it.... I really want to play this game as it has space exploration which is something I love and dream about but feel like I might get bored real soon due to repetitiveness

I am torn :(

The game for me has that really weird dilemma where I don't know if I'm getting shit luck or this many throw-away planets that are basically resource dispensers popping up is to be expected. Either way, I'm disappointing in how many pretty drab planets I've gotten (roughly 10). On the other hand, the sense of scale is absolutely amazing and the through-line of the aliens or whatever pushing you along is kinda neat.

Yeah found a planet covered with them and farmed them (while avoiding sentinels) and bought a ship for $2.2 mil. Thanks Graviton (or whatever it was) Balls. Also found a plant that would open up and give a similar item on another planet.
