A super easy way to check if you are definitely not affected by the preorder bug is just see if you can craft a hyperdrive tech in your starship inventory. If you can, just continue onward.

If you can't you need the blueprints.

In order to find the blueprints I jumped one system and back (so explored a total of two), checked factories and abandoned buildings and one outpost, but only got other stuff. I also checked the space stations in both system and a crashed ship simply for a new ship WITH a hyperdrive, which would honestly solve the problem adequately. Neither had hyperdrives installed.

Gents, what are the main....elements I want to have at all time? And which ones am I best ...only for crafting specific items? I'm still on my first planet btw....not gone into space so I've no idea what awaits me as I wasn't reading/looking at previews etc etc...

Man, just knowing one or two words has saved my ass for knowing what aliens want.
I feel the same way. Last night I came across an option to open something or leave it closed. The only words I could make out were "Beware" and "Abomination". So I gladly left it closed and continued my journey. 😂

Hmm I dont think I have the recipe to actually build a hyperdrive either. Where can you select it in the inventory to make? I also redeemed the preorder ship
It straight up has its own entire category called Hyperdrive. (crafting Tech on Starship)

This is the game. I really like it, but this is it.

Welcome to procedurally generated loot addiction.

If you think about it, it might be far worse than any Ubi 'head to the marker' game. But it's still compelling to me, so far. It's the drive to upgrade crap that keeps you going 🤔

I'm trying to put together a little list like this!

Just been distracted by this godawful bug.

You should always keep at least the basics you need to fly:

Plutonium for Launch Thrust
Thamium-9 for Pulse Drive

So i dumped 8 hrs into this game and haven't even left my starter planet yet (dat OCD tho...)

playing this game i feel like this has to set some kind of benchmark for video games going forward no?

This game does scale & procedural generation in a way i never thought could be possible, let alone on a console by an indie developer.

Even when you pull back the curtain and realize that each planet has you doing the same things with a new coat of paint, its still incredibly surreal.

Does anyone feel like this is revolutionary in the way the way GTA 3 was in terms of its impact on open world 3d gaming? It would seem downright criminal for a game like this to exist and essentially just have it be a blip on the culture of video games.

I really don't think there's gonna be VR support for this on PS4

I really just need this comming from the developers... and I'll buy it right now and start playing it on my PS4... but if there's a little chance... I wanna "press start" on this game with the VR headset on.

And I'm really afraid that the game will need some many changes that would be like Driveclub VR and a patch won't make it... so even if I wanna play it, I can't.

So I bought it last night and played for a few hours and... I'm bored. Everywhere I've gone feels the same, and getting to the center seems like it's going to take way longer than it's worth. Buyer's remorse incoming.

Posted a bit earlier. I found a crashed ship, swapped for it, got in, and that triggered the hyperdrive quest. If you can't get it like that then I'm guessing it's fucked.

Is it worth buying a merchants ship (for 340,000) ? Or just save for later on?

At the point I am at currently, ships that have a lot of open inventory slots go for well over 1,000,000 units. Picking a new ship really boils down to your needs. I was able to barter with an Alien to get his ship and it cost me around 850,000 units. Had a more powerful hyperdrive, better engines, shields and cannons.

Sadly, the Hyperdrive fuel in my previous ship was still stuck on it, couldn't bring that over to the new ship.

I reached the second encounter with Atlus and didn't receive any of these options. It was just pissed I rejected it the first time and I was left to do my own thing.

My response to the thing: Double dumb ass on you!

I got the option after visiting their first station. Upon leaving the station, I found a space anomaly where there were a couple of guys hanging out. They gave me the choice. They phrased it as, "Resources for Exploration." "Resources for reaching the Core" and "Continue with the Atlas path." I want to say it was the Find Us. Hear Us. quest.

Damnit. I should have tried that with the crashed ship I found.

Good to know for people who are in the situation and find a crashed one, for sure.

This game is so insane. Ive been to multiple systems and visited every planet and each time its totally different.

I havent found a 'paradise' planet yet so I am going to keep looking

The one there is called
Nada
:P

I chose the second option you mentioned, it reveals a
black hole
.

Of course, now I have to get back to that moment...
I wonder if you bought a ship without one if that could possibly trigger the quest too?
I tried that, and restarting the game. It didn't trigger it :(

What happens when you head out to space and then use your scanner? Does it pop up a location to visit?

Sorry if you've tried this already, haven't kept up with the thread.

Question guys , so my beginner ship I ditched it because in the planet I was in for that moment indicated me that there was a missing pilot and I could keep the ship if I fix it , I was a nice long ship 17 inventory space , one I went to the space station I saw a even BIGGER ship with 22 inventory spaces , I bought that for 1,230,000 ish units . Once I bought that one my previous ship was still docked and I had the opportunity to switch again but I didn't want to risk it , is it possible to own more than 1 ship? Or was it just a bug? Because I would love to buy this Tie-fighter look a like ship I've been seeing today for dog fights. Any tips?:)

Careful what you wish for. My boyfriend started out on a rich fauna planet, but soon had dinosaurs of all shapes chasing him! One looked like a T-Rex!

Tried to buy the game 7 times through PSN after adding new Visa and it keeps telling me to check my transaction history. Anyone else experience this?

Buy a digital gift card from Amazon or CDkeys.com and apply the credit to your account.

After a week you should be able use your card on the account again.

Wait.... How do you barter?
