No Man's Sky |OT| Hello Worlds.

I just found a ship with a better wrap reactor and 22 slots so I got it. It was 1.2 million but since I don't have the blueprint for the better wrap reactor it was worth it. Now I just need to build my money up again as it left me with 100k.

I guess I'm a bad pilot. This just happened. And it is so high that I can't jetpack back to it. Guess it's time to load the last save restore point. lol

Bad pilot? Sounds like you're the best pilot ever.

Decided to jump a few stars over and ended up in a 6 planet system.

First planet i land on might aswell have been taken right from the 40k warp. it looks like it has been thoroughly touched by nurgle also every single cave is totaly infested with Vortex cubes just sitting on the floor i dont even need to mine them just pick them up for fat units.

I have a theory, could be nonsense...

I just went through my first
black hole. I am now 1.3million light years closer to the center.

I've heard a lot of people being really confused that they didn't seem to end up much closer or even wound up farther away from the center after taking one. You get a chance to locate a new one every time you meet Nada and Polo, it seems.

Occurred to me that these black holes are meant to act as wormholes; they actually go from the starting system to a fixed point in space somewhere else in the galaxy.

It may be that as the community discovers more, we can actually map some of the relative positions of these black holes. They can then become shorter-range destinations for players who are closer to them than to the center.

In this way, the community might be able to sort of chart a path of shortcuts to the center. As the online stabilizes and more of the galaxy is filled in, it could be collaborative to some extent. Even the warps that seem to take you backwards- further from the center- might be part of a route because they take you closer to another black hole that could get you closer to the center.

Someone just mentioned that after 30 hours they are 170,000 from the center. I'm there after about 10.

I am at least actually naming all the Black Hole systems I find.

No idea if there's anything to this.

Well, despite the issues PC concurrent numbers are crazy, 220k and counting.

I'll borrow a page from Shinobi here and say: THIS is why you put your game on PC.

Never take a console exclusive deal indies. Never.

This happened to me too. After 8 hours I deleted the save file and just started over. On the second go I waited until the game gave me all the blueprints for warp supplies before I redeemed the bonus ship.

im at 18+ hours in, I think at this point I'd just call it quits and move on.

I really like this so far but the inventory system is really putting a hamper on the game so far.I've been wandering aimlessly trying to find a space station or bot to trade/sell stuff with. I've been on two new planets and have mined nothing because I'm full it's certainly not encouraging exploration so far.

I've been on this one nice planet, found some cool shark gator things and jelly fish, and then my ship got stuck lifting off and it spawned me below the ground, I was able to just barely get a save where I wasn't stuck but had to run 30mins to a command center to call my bugged out ship.

Also no matter what planet one species seems to always be missing?

Sounds like you need to focus on suit upgrades for a while.

Look for Drop Pods.

You can recognize them by shape, and also if you go to a Signal Scanner (tall red beam of light), use a Bypass Chip which you can always craft, and select "Shelter" it will almost always send you to one.

I think it worked well for them getting the initial exposure in 2013 and probably millions of sales on PS4. At the end of the day I don't really care beyond me enjoying the game personally.

Crashed on my first warp drive attempt (I hear it's frequent) but worked second time. Landed on the system's space station. Will uncover these new planets and acquire the Antimatter recipe tomorrow.

"Success, your refund request is now pending" - Steam version is bollocks. What a mess.
GOG seems fine for god knows what reason.

So... I see most of my friend list refunded the game already.

Its that bad? I feel the visuals are a bit shitty for the performance. Also even at 100 FOV it seems so narrow.

I cant even run the game, locks PC up after starting game - on 4790K 32GB Titan X Win 10. Lots of people on reddit and steam forum having similar issue.

I actually just found one which helps. I just want to unload some of this stuff so I can hopefully upgrade my ship to one with more slots. I'll keep at it I'm sure I'll find something soon.

Had to go back to the PS4 version, couldn't stand the stuttering on the PC version. What a shame, when it ran at 60fps + bigger FOV it was actually good.

This is just if you get lucky, I searched about six scanners for that category last night and none of them sent me to a drop pod. The ones I've found have been from just flying around and looking.

Wait, if you can hit orbit just look for the space station in your system, it's a hexagon icon.

Quick question: I've got the hyperdrive blueprint and I think I have the right ingredients. But where do I actually build it? I try going to craft on a space slot in my exosuit but the hyperdrive doesn't show up as one of the items.

It's terrible game design due to the lack of inventory space but don't sell your Atlas Stones - reached the end of the Atlas line I only had 9 (having sold my first one for 60k). That last Atlas Stone cost me 2,800,000.

Does anyone know if things actually get weirder as you head towards the center? Are there new biomes or new creature templates that appear? After 30+ hours I'm looking for an excuse to carry on playing. Haven't had a new blueprint for many hours, feels like I've hit the end of the upgrade paths (Tau?).

craft it on your star ship instead

Source on the GOG version performance?

I haven't grabbed it yet but will probably do so when I get home, if that ones better

Source = My machine

Steam = long loading, bad frame rate and stuttering.
GOG = very short loading, better frame rate and no stuttering.

I honestly cant tell you why this is, but it just works for me. Could be the planet (the 8 that I've tried since gog version for science) but it all been shit on steam.

GOG seems better. At least IMO.

So does anything cool happen in space in this game or is it all about going from planet to planet and occasionally stopping at a space station? I'd hope the space part gets some love too.

Everyone else is finding these planets with gravitron balls or whatever and making bank, meanwhile I've been going from planet to planet with the sole purpose of finding something similar with no luck. I neeeeeeeeed more money. So poor.

So I found this planet with these gravitino balls all over the fielded areas. They're worth 30,000 each, and there's a space station a 3 second pulse jump away. Can make $1 mill each round trip.

YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! I was on a planet like that, but didn't know what those things were and didn't grab any D:!

Damnnnnn. Hype slightly restored

Does GOG offer refunds?

How many slots on your suit (or ship) did you end up having at the end? I agree that 10 is a lot but my current ship has 24 slots and my exosuit has 22. I imagine I'll be maxing out both, slot wise, by the end since I'm only on my 3rd system.

I mean, I've gotten jacked by pirates twice now, but have been able to outrun and hide from them down on a barren moon.

There's Theta (I own many) and Omega apparently (never had one of those though).

I've got an Omega upgrade for my bolt caster maybe? Have to check later. Don't use it though as I am a mining laser kind of guy,
