Oh hell yes. Just got my first bounty. The dude was smuggling Lemmium. Hope there's a way to get these to appear more often over time.

Also popped into the space station in the new system and found my new ship. hnnnnf.

Has a warp reactor, a way better layout to work with and more slots, and it's my favorite appearance-wise of the fighters so far. It looks like a newer model, lol. I love it so much.

I will miss my first real ship though, it was lovely and served me well.

Don't forget to dismantle all your old tech when you transfer ships, right from the transfer window. You can get some stuff you might want to keep or sell off.

Meant to play for 20 minutes on PS4 and it turned into hours. Kinda wish I could transfer the ship over but I don't really want this kind as an explorer anyway. Time to finally see how this runs for me on PC.

Playing on PC and enjoying it so far.

Inventory management is a bitch, though. Always running out of room. I guess I just need to keep searching for those drop pods and upgrade a lot at the start. Also not a huge fan of all the sentient aliens you meet at stations and whatnot. I feel like those types of aliens should have been super super rare. I would have enjoyed it more if I felt like I was the only person traversing the stars.

Quick question: Whenever I get inventory that has a green background, should I always just sell these in the trade market? I can't use them and don't see what else they could be used for.

I would definitely double dip if PC was running well but all this talk of people with i7s and titan x's having issues is really putting me off, also the steam reviews my god....

The in atmosphere lod and pop in is killing it for me on ps4, you can't even tell what things are etc

Yep, that's what they're for

Their sell prices can vary dramatically system to system but you don't have to worry about that at first at all.

Got a planet with high security and Gravitino balls everywhere. It was cool but annoying with so many sentries.

But right after I found a planet that had outposts and monoliths literally everywhere I looked, but no wildlife.

If you find an outpost on that planet with a galactic trade terminal, just stay close to there and farm (easy easy money), once you go inside Sentinels back off.

Want to lose Sentinels? Go inside a building.

Well I think the pop in is going to happen on PC. It's just inherently how it is built. It's not preloading assets, it's generating terrain. It could still be better on PC, but who knows.

I actually just found one which helps. I just want to unload some of this stuff so I can hopefully upgrade my ship to one with more slots. I'll keep at it I'm sure I'll find something soon.

ive been farming inventory expansions! and money to buy them... its been my main mission right now to get as many inventory slots as possible lol XD

How to I get to that part in THAT leaked spoiler pic?

Meeting the supposed NPCs after warping? I'm currently in a new system. Not sure what to do now though.

You are correct. You're not going to be able to brute force the issue on PC and eliminate pop-in. It may be made to load slightly faster, but I'll be shocked if it's demonstratively different.

Everyone else is finding these planets with gravitron balls or whatever and making bank, meanwhile I've been going from planet to planet with the sole purpose of finding something similar with no luck. I neeeeeeeeed more money. So poor.

I found those and they were worth a ton, but the sentinels were hostile as a mofo on that planet. Emeril and gold are your safe bets if you can find planets with it.

Besides hopping planets and galaxies to get Atlas stones, I'm mainly focusing on making money for exosuit upgrades too. I still have the starting ship and a fairly weak multi-tool because all my money has been going into exosuit slots lol.

I haven't really found any crashed ships that'd be worth it to fix. All of the ones I'm finding really just have only 1 more slot than my current ship so it isn't worth repairing all the parts.

Would there be any point to wait on buying this? Like as far as waiting for potential future content updates/patches? Did they share a roadmap on what the post-game support is looking like?

I originally didn't have much interest in this but man after seeing some of the cool stuff people have found in the screenshot thread I've been staring a the store page on PSN off and on being real wishy washy if I should pull the trigger.

I found a planet filled with them on my 2nd warp jump. However, sentinels are so fucking hostiles, that even by just being close to a ball I get shot

No roadmap but they've hinted that they have some big plans for post release support

I'd say you are best to wait it out and see what happens. I have a feeling the next few months are going to be spent just fixing issues, so it may be a while before significant additions show up

Survival Milestones!!

Does anyone know if it needs to be consecutive sols on one extreme planet or if you can tick the counter up over the course of various planets?

I'm stuck on 24.9 sols now and it just won't go up! I fell asleep playing earlier on an extreme planet and died, maybe that's something to do with it.

Couldn't help it and gave the new ship a shot. Committed my first successful act of solo piracy on a freighter. Guy was hauling stacks of 500 materials and neutrino modules. Bank. Wasn't confident enough to go past 2 stars with the sentinels yet but one day.

REALLY gotta put PS4 on hold now.

just curious btw, how many others out there have found this alloy recipe:

It's so nice, have used it for quick units in a pinch a few times now.

i guess this game really isn't for me after all. i thought i'd enjoy it. managed to get off my first planet and to the next one but i have no clue what i'm doing apart from finding parts and that has already got boring real quick. finding it quite overwhelming too. the inventory is so damn confusing. also i'm feeling sick playing it due to the FOV and i'm on PC with it set to 100. oh well then!

Yeah from the hour that I played, inventory management seems to be the worst aspect of the game. Not sure why PS4 version uses a cursor for menus either. Very odd design choices in this game.

Magmox? I got it :)

If they could add a monster at the bottom of certain caves with a chest with loot or Units. MY GOD I would be lost forever.

Maybe it's just an artifact of the procedural soundscape on planets, but I swear to god I've been on two planets with supposed zero fauna (except those shitty tentacle vines that attack you) but I constantly hear weird, moaning or animal type sounds that I swear are coming up from the cave systems. I've dug around a bunch and nothing but plutonium crystals and iron/carbon for days, but it was legitimately creepy.

You're right though, having subterranean creatures as well as buried monuments or ruins would be fucking ace.

Why is every planet I've been on (including my multiple restarts tweaking graphics options), the color palette has been incredibly over-the-top neon colors.

Is that what I can expect the whole game?

You can change the FOV to something different. If you need higher then 100, there is a fix for that in the PC performance thread.

Did you follow the Atlas path in the beginning? Gives you some pointers on where to go and what to do.

Fun fact:

If you land on a lifeless moon/planet. You can still upload it as 100% discovered but you won't get Units.
You WILL get a Milestone though :)

Enjoy until they fix it.

I'd say not at all, but everyone's experience is different. I've had two planets with crazy color schemes, but most of them have been pretty subdued. Moons in particular have been way more neutral in terms of color tone.

What are the most expensive ships you guys have seen? I've seen them get to 3.5 million before, but curious how high they go. I'm making 250k every 10 mins on my current planet so want to save up for the absolute best ship I can. Wondering whether to go past 5 million.

I've had these pop up a few times but how do you find your bounty? Does a waypoint pop up? Just start shooting nearby ships until one of them happens to be the right one??
There was definitely an indicator that popped up. I aimed at it and went toward it (was able to pulse jump) and that was "accepting" the bounty when I got close enough, it dropped me out of warp and I blew him the hell up.

The cargo all actually pops out to be collected, don't lose it :)

I've seen a ship for 21 mil.

After some settings tweaks and being able to finally play, I def think this game is for me.

I was worried the loop wouldnt hook me, but I think it can keep my attention.

I finally got my ship off the ground and flying for the first time, man, it brought a smile to my face! Pretty awesome moment.

I started out on a red desertish planet, I named it The Infared. I got attacked by sentinels almost instantly after they saw me getting some carbon. Fought off 3-4 of them, and then made my way across the planet getting stuff. Learned some Vy'Keen words and got information regarding a ruin, went there and got some more stuff. Now im combing the planet for more goodies before I take off into the stars.
