What are the most expensive ships you guys have seen? I've seen them get to 3.5 million before, but curious how high they go. I'm making 250k every 10 mins on my current planet so want to save up for the absolute best ship I can. Wondering whether to go past 5 million.

I've seen ships for 5+mil. Pretty sure any with over 30 slots is going to be around that price.

Anybody know how much this game trades in for at gamestop? Amazon has it for $37 and I want to buy it on PC instead.

***NVM 27.50 LOL

So how do you get a new multi tool? I'm on my third star system, and I haven't seen any new multi tools..

Check the outposts on planets. Sometimes you can find one attached to wall in a box. Sometimes aliens at outposts give you one depending on their mood and interaction.

Btw I spent more than 2 hours on a planet today almost scanned everything missing only one species. It's so annoying i can't find the last one and complete the planet.
But at least that planet had TONS of those red cubes! Each cost like 25k. I harvested like a million units there. Much better than mining for money.

Man, just reading some of the youtubes comments about this make almost made me feel I'm the only person is the interwebs that genuinely liked the game.

Anyway few hours in and game is meeting my expectations. Was just messing around learning the mechanics and now I'm ready to gtfo of this grassy ass planet and do story mode.. If there is a story mode. Lol.

I can totally understand why some people would be turned off by it, but I actually REALLY like that the game doesn't tell you anything. You literally wake up on a foreign planet with a broken ship and a mining tool and it tells you "Fix your shit - here's what you need, go find it" and that is IT. I think I was at least an hour or two in before I finally figured out what the icons that pop up when you scan were (power, shield, etc). It's unforgiving and it can absolutely be frustrating and confusing but at the same time, it makes it incredibly realistic.

I have a theory, could be nonsense...

I just went through my first
black hole. I am now 1.3million light years closer to the center.

I've heard a lot of people being really confused that they didn't seem to end up much closer or even wound up farther away from the center after taking one. You get a chance to locate a new one every time you meet Nada and Polo, it seems.

Occurred to me that these black holes are meant to act as wormholes; they actually go from the starting system to a fixed point in space somewhere else in the galaxy.

It may be that as the community discovers more, we can actually map some of the relative positions of these black holes. They can then become shorter-range destinations for players who are closer to them than to the center.

In this way, the community might be able to sort of chart a path of shortcuts to the center. As the online stabilizes and more of the galaxy is filled in, it could be collaborative to some extent. Even the warps that seem to take you backwards- further from the center- might be part of a route because they take you closer to another black hole that could get you closer to the center.

Someone just mentioned that after 30 hours they are 170,000 from the center. I'm there after about 10.

I am at least actually naming all the Black Hole systems I find.

No idea if there's anything to this.
i'm curious, anyone think this is possible?

Fun story, I accidentally landed my ship on top of a tree, tried to shoot the tree to make it fall, and it just hung there in mid-air. Nice antigrav crash-proof tech there! Luckily I was able to jetpack up to it with no problem but it was pretty funny. Wish there was an easy way to upload pictures from my PS4 to my computer to share with NMS-GAF (if there is I have 0% understanding of how to do it and would love some pointers).

Do we have an idea how big a planet in this game is compared to our real Earth for example? Like how long would it theoretically take you to walk around it.

game crashed 4 times today. it really doesn't want me to upgrade my gun.

also, "extravaganza" is a bad word, apparently.

edit: oh yeah, keep forgetting to ask, but how do you scan those damn birds?

I found stuff about 4 hours away, went to outer space and it wasn't even that far looking from my original place. I'm betting 10-20 hours walking might be possible.

The easiest, quick and dirty way is this:

1. Share the Share burron, then press Options and go to sharing settings.

2. Go to Screenshot Settings, and switch Image Format to PNG (this just makes them a little higher quality)

3. Exit the options menu. Press the Share button again when you want to take a screenshot, and upload to either Twitter or Facebook. If you've never set it up you'll have to log in.

Then whenever you want to take one you can just hit share and upload.

Been playing all week and its just getting better and better all the time for me. Awesome stuff.

I found a planet filled with them on my 2nd warp jump. However, sentinels are so fucking hostiles, that even by just being close to a ball I get shot

just found a hostile gravitino planet on my second jump too... these just sell for bank or are they used for anything special?

I agree. My first few hours with the game trying to parse all that's thrown at you, overcoming mistakes and eventually getting the swing of things was incredibly memorable and immersive. The game's opening strikes a nice balance between not explicitly explaining things while still providing goals and tips to nudge you along.

So is the recommendation to start over if the preorder ship is chosen before acquiring the hyperdrive blueprint? I'm not too far along to where it wouldn't be a disaster to restart.

This game is exactly what i hoped it would be. Im fucking hyped... been playing almost nonstop since monday night (i think i turned off the PS4 once or twice lol)

Exploration, Adventure, FUCKING UNIVERSES!!! everytime i fly my ship up from the surface of a planet into space i get all giddy, see a space station and i just get this amazing feeling like... fuck i dont know. its just an amazing experience... the sense of wonder and adventure is fucking pure.

I agree as well, and I just want to add that I love this phase when the community is figuring things out in a game like this, so much. I'm still learning little things constantly.

I was just on my first completely extreme heat planet, during dust storms my protection would drop in under 8 seconds from full. It was covered in Radnox. Can anyone confirm the same of other extremely hot planets?

Also, I found an
Aquasphere
underwater on another planet. If there are planets where these are numerous the breathing upgrades would be excellent, they do not trigger the sentinels.
