Really? I can't swing a dead cat without hitting one of the copper hover ovoids. Maybe I'm in the copper cluster. The element I never see is nickel.
Found copper like 5 seconds after writing that lol.

my shit isn't maxed out yet but this is how I'm feeling now as wellI've maxed out (48) my exosuit inventory slots and have a 32 slot ship. I still have no idea wtf I'm doing half the time. I guess I'm supposed to be trying to find recipes for a better warp drive so I can go farther? I wish there was a little more direction in the game to make me feel like I wasn't just doing the same 5 boring things for hours and hours on end.
I have come across a planet of nightmares. Bad acid induced nightmares. I've only landed at one post and I'm ready to NOPE out.
Immediately upon landing, I see these things bouncing and squishing around.

If I did not accept the quest from the Atlas in the very beginning, how and where can I re-accept?
You can cover a lot of ground fast with the sprint/melee/jetpack combo.
This new planet I found has everything I need. jesus
it's still obnoxious having to rely on a clunky combo with hefty recharge times tho, i honestly would rather constantly be spending plutonium to move my ship like 200 meters than slowly scramble over a 20 foot hill on foot
like the "sprint" speed should be your basic running speed with analog movement so you can go at a walking pace when you want to, as it is it feels like you're a slug
impressions i got were that this game will become massively more enjoyable once a trainer with +walkspeed and tagging for infinite specific resources is out.
i just wanna explore. dont wanna keep filling bars and mining ad nauseam.
This is not true. You cannot fly to different systems without warping. That wouldn't even make sense since they are always light years away. Warping allows for FTL traveling.Haven't had a problem like this yet. I think Sean even mentioned in an interview that you could feasibly fly to a different star system without the need for a warp drive but it would take weeks/months.

Eventually you'll come across a space anomaly. If you dock with it one of the people inside gives you the option to rejoin the atlas path.
So I haven't checked the thread in a few days:
How far can I warp with all the reactors? I built em last night but the game crashed right after.
I recall seeing something about certain star types being locked out unless you have upgraded drives. Does the map show this clearly?

What bypass chip thing?
I actually like the boosting combo. I've gotten the hang of it and it works extremely well.
Doesn't feel clunk at all when you hit the X button immediately after the melee button.
well, simply that it's a relatively easy way to get money.
Iron and plutonium tend to be abundant and each chip sells for like 3500. You need 10 of each for a chip.
yeah sometimes it's fun to mine and fill bars, but sometimes it's fun to just roam without having to micromanage every little resource, right now NMS only lets you do the one
stranded in the ocean with plutonium.
Ugh... stranded in the ocean with NO plutonium.
Just wondering, what is the technology scale? Like whats better? Tau/theta/sigma whatever.
Ok, so I found a moon with giant CUBES all over the place:
Here's one from a distance:

Here's a side angle for scale:

I blasted a tunnel into the middle of it:

Here's what I found inside the giant cube:

The whole moon is covered with them - check the cubes in the distance:

I'm gonna need a whole lot of grenades!
This moon also has giant creatures walking around all over it - one of them attacked me on sight, but I was able to jump on top of my ship with the jet pack and kill it without much trouble.
Hands down my favorite planet/moon I've found. It has almost no plant-life on it, but tons really weird rocks and formations and stuff.

Sigma < Tau < Theta < OmegaJust wondering, what is the technology scale? Like whats better? Tau/theta/sigma whatever.
i actually did this once .___. had enough free space to make 10 or so at a time, it does add up quickly if you don't have a better source of income
You can and should have 4 hyperdrives installed.
The normal one, then the Sigma, Tau and Theta. They stack and let you travel longer distances.
Also you need the Sigma to visit solar sistems with a red star, Tau for green stars, and Theta for blue stars.
To find iridium try in space, some large round asteroids are usually of iridium. On planets is a bit more hard to find it.

I don't honestly recall. I think I found one from a crashed ship(when you interact with the beacon), one from a guy on a station/outpost and maybe same for the last.Where did you get them? I know they're probably random but in 30 hours I haven't got a single warp blueprint. Friend has same amount of hours and no blueprint either.
Green stars need a Tau warp upgrade and other colours need the others.
Edit: For the guy below me, there's a spoiler thread.

Awesome, NMS just froze my console, had to hard reset.
Yeah it rules. Making sure you preserve your momentum and get the most out of a full jetpack charge takes practice and is fun as hell to pull off. Finding a big cliff to boost off is a wonderful feelingI actually like it, weirdly. There's a bit of skill to doing it properly.
