Some planets have green aluminium crystals (like the red Protonium ones). Find one with them and explore its caverns.

Every time I find a beautiful lush planet it's full of asshole creatures , or better yet sentinels that want to kill me on site. This game hates me it seems lol

Having to have all the hyperdrives installed to visit all the system types is dumb. Either that or my Theta drive is borked. Inventory management just becomes too lose lose when you have to stack all the tech builds.

So much of this game just seems broken or not functioning as intended. Its hugely disappointing. The whole secrecy angle must have kept it from getting any good play testing done so the result is its launched as an Early Access title. But for full shitting retail price.

Just had a cavebob moment. Game alerted me hostile enemies were incoming and then I saw them warp infront of me and I froze and they started beating the shit out of me. I tried pulse jumping to the closest space station but the game was like nope so decided to go into battle. Managed to take down two before the third one finally finished me off.

Three times now I've given up on trying to scan every creature on a planet because I get all but 1 and spend 2 hours looking for it with nothing to show for it. What am I missing? I'm searching the air, water, and caves too. Very frustrating and I've yet to complete a planet scan as a result. Is there some trick to it?

That, plus it is just too much of an unnecessary luck of the draw CHORE. It took me a few hours to realize this as I played and discovered more.

I think the worst part about the game is when you switch ships you have to leave your upgrades behind.

Why even install all these horrendously overprices warp drives and such if you need to leave them behind for 3 more slots of inventory D:

Welp. After 40+ hours without a single crash, I've crashed 8 times in the last 2 hours.

All because of the things on walls that give you multi-tool blueprints.

These things:

Every time I interact with one, I crash.

I'm gonna stop touching them for now, but do you guys have any idea how I can fix this, or what the hell's going on?

My game crashes every time I open the menu.so you at least can play the game, I can't. I use my mining laser but when I open the menu to recharge it, the game crashes. It's

Same (although I have 2 complete)

After playing this game for 30 hours and having some serious shit luck in a few systems. I finally found about 3 planets lush with life that are absolutely beautiful. In the same system. And now the magic is back and i love this game again lol.

This and all your Warp Drive fuel gets lost when you get a new ship IIRC.
So make sure to completely deplete your Warp Drive's Fuel before getting a new ship.

Same thing happened to me, but I figured out what I was missing was a flying insect. So there are scanable insects in the game.

Break them before buying a new ship. You get half the resources used for the upgrade.

It's not ideal but it helps.

Do ships have stats other then just bugger cargo space ? Like better shield , stronger guns etc? I see the Shield / attack icons but still don't see how they compare when your comparing to your current ship

Sometimes it takes a while for the certain type you're looking for to spawn. Once I had to run and fly around for a half hour just to get some birds to come back.

But a tip someone posted on here is pretty useful. The creature list is ordered land, air, water from top to bottom. So if your ???? is on the bottom line it's going to be a water creature. Of course if there's no water on the planet it's probably a bird.

From my experience I haven't found any animals in caves so I don't look there.

I feared this and it's why I haven't built one yet. I'm sure I have plenty of blueprints, but I'll wait till I find/splurge on a ship that has more than my current 18 slots.

I gave up on a planet with one left earlier. It had no water or birds and nothing in the caves. Spent hours and hours looking for the final species and stubbornly had to give up after not finding it. Felt bad.

Oh man I hope I'm not stuck!

I'm following the Atlas mission and just talked to the monolith (I have the warp drive and warp cell blueprints). The monolith sent to "ascend to the stars", so I did.

Anomaly detected. Went to that solar system. Scanned in space, and another monolith detected on new planet.

Visited planet and found abandoned building but it's underwater.

Can't seem to get to it. :(

The Atlas building is underwater, an I screwed?

Anyone?

Crashed 6 times in the last 30 minutes. How did this get approved by Sony?

Not saying I'm not enjoying my experience but such a high profile game having this bad stability is insane.

MID POST EDIT: It crashed while trying to load up the game again.

No. Stats are only tied to upgrades installed. Ships have no stats.

You compare them with the name: Sigma <Thau < Thetra < Omega. It also has a +1, +2....

Yeah I think finding 100% of the creatures on a planet shouldn't be something the game records or encourages. Most of the games other features seem built around trying to keep you moving rather than being tied to one planet but that particular record seems to work against that.

Careful when taking ownership of a new ship. Make sure you have all the supplies to repair it or be able to find the mats. Took one over and couldn't find zinc to save my life. Tried to restore save but old ship wasn't there. Ended up having to book it 20 minutes each way to the nearest outpost to buy zinc to get the pulse drive active.

Luckily I was on a planet with no debilitating weather conditions.

I know the feelign , i have 5 100% planets and 4 with only 1 species left .. ii'm looking everywhere but i can't find the last one ... so annoying

At least i'm still calm enough to drop the planet and continue my journey ..

My first planet was a lush planet and my second system also had a lush planet. Both were pretty peaceful. But so far the prettiest planet I've found has sentinals that want to kill me (they are labeled as aggressive so I really am dreading the planet that has frenzied sentinels as the aggressive ones are annoying enough honestly).

And then when you do install upgrades to your ship, suit or multitool the upgrades take up inventory slots. It's ridiculous.

I'm about 24 hours in and have been playing pretty casually, discovering things at my own pace. Could people who have reached the centre of the galaxy please answer the following question for me?

Is it really worth prioritising trying to get to the centre of the galaxy, or is the payoff not worth it? I don't mind if it's not, I just want to know if it's worth making a deliberate effort to do it or whether I should just enjoy cruising around at my own pace without worrying about it.

I've been on a planet with frenzied sentinels. If they find you, they attack.

Nobody noticed that the Height and Weight stats are switched for species? Was waiting but nobody seems to have noticed it.

T-Rex weighed 4.9 Meters and it's height was 500KG.

There's something I don't understand.

I discovered a bunch of outposts yesterday, but didn't actually travel to them yet. I had their location marked.

I closed the game, and this morning all the waypoints are gone. Is this by design ? You have to travel there and save the location otherwise you lose them ?

Sigh... It's really hard to understand how this game works sometimes.

No it's not worth it. If you're enjoying cruising then just do that.
