OK I don't know how long I can do this for. This game crashes so much and now it's stopped saving my game.

I think I might be out until next patch. Completely fucking destroys my immersion. I have to restart this game at least twice every night...agh

The save slot just gets stuck and no matter what I do, it doesn't overwrite the save.

Same happened to me with the planet I'm at currently, finding tons of Albumen Pearl.
What I usually do is pick up one near the entrance of a cave, wait for the sentinels to show up and then run inside and keep picking up more pearls. Usually the sentinels will get stuck outside the cave flying above me at ground level, so I just pick as much stuff as possible making sure they don't "disappear".

This is pretty much exactly what I do. I've already made a total of about 14 million off of those pearls. I don't want to leave the planet but there's gotta be something even better to farm further into the game. Those ships that cost 50 million units seem daunting at this point.

30 hours in so far. Measuring my progress by number of inventory slots.

Suit - 37
Ship - 30
Multi-tool - 23

Fucking backpack holds more items than ship. lol

Starting to hit a wall at 23 hours. Upgraded a lot of my stuff quite a bit, but just overall getting bored of the gameplay loop.

Also very frustrating that accessing your inventory doesn't pause the game. I understand borrowing most of the UI elements from Destiny, but one of the absolute worst things about that aside from clicking and holding to do anything is that you need to go into your inventory to do basic stuff like healing. This doesn't make for good combat. My ability to survive a fight shouldn't rely on how quickly I can navigate the game's terrible UI. There's plenty of unused buttons devs, use them.

Made the terrible decision of searching for crashed ships on a high security planet, and for whatever reason while you're doing basic stuff like inventory management while switching ships, sentinels can attack you. When your screen gets bombarded by the achievement notification thing, sentinels can attack you. Why did they insist on obstructing gameplay so much?

Man I feel sorry for you, I've had no issues at all regarding saving.

Could my session be bugged? I've already visited 6 planets, searched through a lot of buildings and never once found a new multi-tool (more than 12 hours of gameplay).

I have blueprints for everything but I'm still stuck with the first five-slot-worth multi-tool (my ship and my suit are so much better it's absurd).

Try checking in colonial outpost.

Actually I guess I exaggerated a bit, it was only 33 slots. I did take a screenshot though:

That's the ship I wanted but couldn't afford! :(

WOW, when I die I don't even spawn above the ground !

Holy shit ! Am I all of a sudden unable to play the game !?

You are now the holy half-dead who has seen the underverse.

I found a planet with a NPC who traded me some commodity or something for a new multitool, had a manufacturing plant that I learned a few blueprints from, and some ? site that had what looked like a bizarre science experiment gone wrong inside it but had a butt load of stuff in crates. I left that planet with a big smile on my face.

I wonder what can cause the crashes people are having so frequently. Haven't had a single one which I mean I'm glad about but damn seeing how many people say they have makes me wonder why I haven't

Is there any trick to getting the game to connect online (on PS4) or is it just dumb luck? The handful of times I've seen the game connected, it disconnects by the time I can type in and upload the name of a discovery.

Basically exhausted the game at this point. Finished the Atlas Path, have most the high end upgrades and can survive any encounters including extreme Sentinel planets and high enemy count Pirate attacks (did a 10 pirate attack earlier).

Without the carrot on the stick of upgrades and the Atlas Path in front of me not sure I'm going to go for the center and just mining/farming to get larger ships/multi-tools seems unecessary. I want to keep playing but the novelty and luster has worn off after the binge playing. Unless they change the Extreme Survival trophy I probably won't bother with Platinum either. I have that one left and 5 more planets to fully catalog.

Finally found my proverbial gold mine.

A planet I'm mining has Gravitino Balls and the space station is almost right next to it AND Gravitino Balls are selling for 53K units per.

Making just over 1.5M units per run.

Sorry to repost this question for a new page. But it's really bugging me.

Evening all, me again.

Another day another question.

So when you're in the Galaxy map, and you press up to search for anomalies. Then it tells me to press right for the nearest one.
But when i do it just seems to be a normal star system. What am i missing. ?

I've unlocked a shit ton of observatories and other buildings that unlock signals.

As always thanks for your time and sorry if my question is poorly articulated.
I'm not sure I saw anyone answer this completely,

The scan on the galactic map is not for anomalies. It is for discoveries.

It's the best way to get quick access to systems you've already discovered. It can also clue you in to the fact that you're not alone in your wing of the galaxy, because the discoveries of others will show up too.
I think the idea behind crashed ships (besides the event at each one) is just to make it a way to change your ship aesthetic. It is technically possible to grind your way up as crashed ships have 1 slot more than your current ship but it isn't a good use of your time unless you really prefer the narrative of repairing a ship over buying one.
The crashed ship I chose to repair had a substantial hyperdrive upgrade already installed, and that I didn't have the recipe for- just food for thought.

Just curious, has anyone seen predators actively hunting or feeding on other fauna?

I came across a pack of herbivore creatures feeding in a field earlier and watched them for a while, it was actually interesting...they kind of formed up and moved as if they were weary of predators. I was waiting for an ambush or something but it never came lol.

I feel like I've finally found my calling in this game. After multiple warp jumps unable to locate iridium I decide to shoot the cargo ships in frustration. I get loads of iridium and other stuff plus get valuable items from destroying the sentinel ships. Then I can repair my ship shields mid combatwith the titanium that drops regularly in combat. Keep going until I'm full then pulse drive away to a planet and gather a bunch of plutonium to turn the titanium into lemmium.

Made 3.5M pretty quickly. Saving up to buy a big ship upgrade, currently only have 21 slots.

Same, it feels like it performs worse the more I play it. I had the game lose an hour or more of my progress the other day after a crash, despite the fact that I had saved twice after the part it rolled me back to. Happened again yesterday and I lost a half hour or so. I don't even feel like playing it anymore since it seems like a waste of time.

Do point of interest that have already as my been explored change in color?

I'm starting to get overwhelmed by their sheer number. I'm also realizing some I'v already visited.

I almost always kill them with my mining beam. The only time I had trouble with that was on a grassy world. Had to kill nearly a whole flock before I could find a corpse. Really need the duck hunt dog.

I look for them flying near cliffs... Either that or the seeking rockets may home in on them and blast them from the sky... Not sure though... I've never built the rocket launcher attachment.
I'll try harder I guess.

You're a pirate now, like my PS4 character. Welcome to the cadre. Also jealous that you have the lemmium recipe.

If you do feel less violent, Iridium can be found pretty commonly in low orbit asteroid fields around planets.

I had quite the adventure last night.

After leaving my first planet, I fixed up my hyperdrive and warped to two more systems before landing here.

A planet filled with lush red "greenery" by day.

And classic greenery by night.

Barring some small sentinel activity, this has the friendliest animals I've ever seen, and by that I mean none of them were chasing me or trying to eat me; They actually eat plants and absorb nutrients Though... one was a little creepy.
Named this guy Pyrami.

Found a ship or two, though eventually bought a nice one with 19 slots.

Found a huge motherlode of emeril and gold as far as the eye could see.

Met some folks; one of them gave me this.

And checked this pl--WTF IS THIS?!

Left "Redlush" and now treading through a cold harsh planet with no wildlife, and have to keep me thermal gear full since it drops quickly, especially during a storm.
Upside, this place has a crap ton of iridium and Vortex Cubes to horde.

The Gek are adorable. That is... until you start to learn their history.

I was having trouble getting multi-tool upgrades. Every one on the wall, or offered to me had fewer slots. After a while of this, I just took a downgrade and from then on each one one I found was an upgrade. I was able to max it in no time.

Still having a great time and both my exosuit and multitool are looking fine, but my ship desperately needs an upgrade. Next time I come across one of the hostile Sentinel worlds I'm going to farm for a while. Yay? : /

My starter planet. Resources and gold all over the place. So far I'm really enjoying the game. Played for several hours and liking the exploring and crafting. Only thing that's a pain so far is I'm constantly running out of space.

I swear I've just found paradise in this game.

I warp to a system and the first thing I see are massive Emeril asteroids. I start mining them and make 80k per asteroid. I get into a big space battle and kill 18 ships. After cashing in my loot I head to the first planet.

It's gorgeous. Lush green and red grass, autumnal forests and huge seas. Crystals of Emeril and plutonium everywhere and little dinosaurs. Sentinels just chilling out watching me mine. I walk a hundred yards and start seeing vortex cubes everywhere. Even then the sentinels give up after a short chase. I collect 20 or so (as much as I can carry) and head back to the trading post I parked near, stopping onky to zap a bitey little crab. Half a million in 10 mins of admiring the scenery.

I walk back out, picking up another vortex cube on the way, and stand on a peak to watch the sun set as it begins to gently rain.

I'm never leaving this place.

So when I'm seeing people talking about blowing holes in caves do you mean like... just the regular ground? Not a particular ore?

Fuck man I gotta upgrade my Multitool this is embarrassing.

I've got three deflector upgrades and two cooling/damage upgrades for my phase beam. Been steam rolling people heading to the Space Station and stealing their cargo. Then fighting huge swarms of pirate ships as they come after my cargo. It's actually been the best way of farming money, pretty close to the same pace as farming balls/cubes.

You want the Plasma Launcher tech. It rules, will become your L1 (X for me because Bumper Jumper 4 lyfe)

It seems everyones who's found one, they've all been turned off...wonder what's up with it :l

A few days ago I had speculated that the large, metallic balls found at ruin sites might be the "key" to open those things. They're the only objects I've found with their own physics, as you can roll them all across a planet, shoot them/melee them to move, etc.

Some other gaffers responded that they'd seen these and wondered what they were, too, but it kind of stopped there. I'm still finding them every now and then, but I haven't personally found a portal, otherwise I'd be rolling the things across the planet just to try it. They certainly appear to be the same size as the portal "entrance."

There are a few upgrades that can do it. I've been using the grenade launcher. Really handy for when you get lost in caves. Just make your own exit.

Metallic balls? Haven't seen any O.o

Unless you mean the thing you interact with? Hrm.

I want to upgrade my phase beam so bad but I need to wait until I get a bigger ship.
